The Sr. Engineer is responsible to maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies; Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability; Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution; Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.\nEssential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Manages large scale and/or technically complex projects and is responsible for the design and implementation of new technology initiatives supporting the Microsoft Active Directory and Server Operating System environment.\nManages projects within deadlines and provides project status reports to management.\nServes as Level 3 escalation for Windows Server supported applications and hardware.\nDevelops processes for the day to day system administration of Windows Server environments including Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard/Enterprise, Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard/Enterprise, Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 2013/2016 SharePoint. Actively pursues opportunities to improve and automate team procedures and systems performances.\nUtilizes PowerShell to manage and build the environment and provide automation when possible. \nActs as a representative of the Windows Server team & PGDS on cross functional project teams.\nProvides leadership and mentoring to junior staff in technical, customer and project management skills.\nParticipates in 24 hour On Call rotation.\nActive Directory (Domain Services, GPO, security, etc.)\nCore Infrastructure Systems (Windows / VMware), Virtualization/Hypervisor\nInternal Certificate Authority\nAzure AD including AD Connect server systems (SSO)\nNetwork Policy Services (NPS) *Incudes wireless SSL.\nFile & Print Server Management\nKey Management Service (KMS)\nPerform Physical Server Management such as, Firmware upgrade, Coordinate with Vendor for any hardware failure, maintain warranty of the hardware and roadmap, provide general for the operating system that are hosted in the physical servers.\nServer Deployment. Build, scale, and secure corporate infrastructure, focusing specifically on virtual and cloud environments. Active participation in Shift Handover call and provide updates on pending tickets for the next shift\nWork in a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications.\nFind ways to leverage the scale and complexity of the larger infrastructure to solve problems for Enterprise customers.\nFinal escalation points for issues related to Windows server and virtualization systems.\nProduce systems that are scalable, automated, and well documented, and train others to take on day 2 operations.\nDesigns, develops, and implements server systems and software applications such as Active Directory, NPS, etc.\nConfiguring new DHCP servers, migration of DHCP scopes and decommission of DHCP. Servers Active Directory promotion and demotion tasks. AD role management, migration, and DNS management\nCreate technical design specifications with respective enterprise server technology such as Windows, VMware, and Active Directory. Performance troubleshooting, tuning and Root Cause Analysis of Windows OS issues\nImplement defined security standards and provide infrastructure data related to security incidents and investigations.\nEducation and Experience Bachelor‿s degree or equivalent education and experience. \n6 8 + years‿ experience.
