In this role, you will help enable successful SSD validation programs by ensuring test systems are properly configured, hardware is available and tracked, issues are resolved quickly, and lab activities stay aligned with project schedules.\nThis is a hands-on technical role in a fast-paced engineering lab environment. You will work closely with firmware, validation, platform, facilities, IT/infrastructure, and operations teams to support new hardware bring-up, test execution, system debug, inventory management, and continuous improvement of lab processes.\nThis role requires onsite lab support and direct interaction with SSD hardware, test systems, lab inventory, and shipping/receiving activities. Remote or hybrid work is not supported for this role due to the nature of lab operations and hardware readiness requirements.\nThe ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with hardware, documenting results clearly, and contributing to a reliable and scalable lab environment.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport SSD hardware bring-up, configuration, validation readiness, and ongoing maintenance for project-specific platforms.\nBuild, configure, modify, and maintain NVMe/PCIe SSD test systems, hosts, debug systems, and supporting lab infrastructure.\nExecute defined test plans, manual procedures, pre-flight checks, and system validation steps with strong attention to detail.\nTroubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, connectivity, power, and system-level setup issues to restore lab readiness.\nCapture and summarize diagnostic data, logs, failure observations, and debug details to support engineering analysis.\nManage lab inventory, asset tracking, hardware reuse, check-in/check-out processes, and project-specific hardware availability.\nCoordinate shipping, receiving, internal movement, and tracking of SSD and non-SSD hardware components.\nCollaborate with engineering, validation, facilities, IT, and operations teams to support lab activities and project schedules.\nSupport lab planning activities related to rack allocation, space, power, equipment readiness, and future scalability.\nCommunicate task status, risks, blockers, and dependencies clearly and proactively.\nParticipate in team meetings and cross-functional discussions to provide updates on assigned activities.\nIdentify and implement efficiency improvements through automation, scripting, documentation, and repeatable lab processes.\nSupport lab repair workflows, issue tracking, and process improvements for recurring lab activities.\nTechnical Requirements:\nHands-on experience building, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining PC/server-based hardware systems.\nExperience with NVMe/PCIe SSD hardware, storage platforms, or system-level test environments.\nAbility to execute test plans, follow written procedures, and summarize results accurately.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, firmware, connectivity, and system setup issues.\nFamiliarity with Unix/Linux command-line environments.\nBasic scripting experience in Shell or Python is preferred.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking, reporting, and data organization.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently using technical documentation and defined procedures.\nComfortable performing hands-on, repetitive, detail-oriented lab activities with consistency and quality.\nPrior experience in an SSD, storage, firmware validation, hardware validation, or engineering lab environment is strongly preferred.\nExperience with automation, diagnostic tools, log collection, or analyzer tools is a plus.\nThe pay range for this role is $65000- $70000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
