You will foster a growth-mindset culture with a team of individuals who listen.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nThe Senior Data Engineer is responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing complex data pipelines and infrastructure using Microsoft Azure technologies to support the evolving data needs of external clients. This role involves leading the end-to-end design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions - from ingestion and transformation to delivery and governance. The Senior Data Engineer plays a key role in shaping data architecture, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and machine learning. This position combines hands-on engineering with strategic input to ensure data systems are robust, efficient, and future-ready.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric\n\nDevelop and maintain advanced ETL/ELT frameworks to support complex data integration from diverse structured and unstructured sources\n\nOversee data quality, reliability, and performance across environments, implementing monitoring and alerting strategies\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning\n\nDrive the adoption of data engineering best practices, including CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure-as-code\n\nEnsure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and contribute to internal policy development\n\nMentor and guide junior data engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous improvement\n\nEvaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance the data platform’s scalability, maintainability, and performance\n\nWhat You Will Bring:\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field\n\nExperience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex data projects and mentoring teams\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\nProven expertise in SQL and Python for building and automating data pipelines, transformations, and validations\n\nDeep experience with data warehousing and data lake architectures, including performance tuning and optimization\n\nAdvanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Microsoft Fabric\n\nStrong background in data modeling, database design, and query optimization for large-scale datasets\n\nPractical experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering workflows\n\nProficient in using version control systems like Git and managing collaborative development environments\n\nSolid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, with experience implementing controls in production environments\n\nSoft Skills:\n\nStrategic thinking, leadership, and mentoring capabilities\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\n\nPassion for innovation and continuous learning\n\nWhat’s next?\n\nWe encourage you to apply even if you think you may not match 100% of the criteria.
