Working at our customers facilities, TSS employees are key enablers - helping ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance in some of the leading laboratories in the United States\nHow will you make an impact?\nThe function of the Metrology Technician I is to perform equipment calibration and maintenance, primarily in-house, for both internal (TSS) and external customers. This includes administrative tasks required for the operation of the calibration laboratory and maintenance of equipment records\nWhat will you do?\nHelp maintain available equipment inventory and interface with process shareholders\nCommunicate with regional operations staff for coordination of equipment transfer - internal and client-supplied.\nAssist in developing and supporting future calibration capabilities.\nCommunicate with vendors to facilitate external calibrations and repairs.\nSupporting ISO-17025 accredited services including uncertainty analysis\nMaintaining personal ISO 17025 training by participation in Interlaboratory Comparisons / Proficiency Tests (ILC/PTs)\nOther duties as assigned\nIn House Calibration Tasks:\nLightmeters\nSound Level Meters\nTemperature and Humidity instrumentation\nAnalog pressure gauges and manometers (Pressure, Vacuum, and Magnehelic gauges)\nCold Aerosol Generators\nThermal Aerosol Generators\nFlowmeters\nTachometers\nAnemometers\nDigital Manometers/Transmitters\nFlowhoods (Shortridge Air Data Multimeters)\nElectrical Meters (DMM) and Electrical Safety Analyzers (ESA)\nUV meters/sensors\nEllab and TCs\nWind Tunnel\nPotential repairs on all above equipment\nCalibration report generation/revision using eData\nAssist with the upkeep of our proprietary equipment database\nAssist the metrology administrator with the maintenance and correction of calibration certificates\nCollection of equipment in need of service\nShipping/receiving to/from vendors, includingcalling for RMAs, creating/closing POs\nHow will you get rewarded?\nTSS offers competitive salaries and a wide range of benefits:\nSalary range of $25.00 - $34.00 hourly(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with industry data.)\n\nMedical, vision, and dental insurance\n401(k) plan with a company matching contribution\nLong-term disability, short-term disability, and life insurance\nCompetitive Paid Time Off (PTO) and company paid holidays\nHow will you get here?\nEducation and Experience\nRequires a High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-year or 4-year degree preferred.\nRequires 2 years of relevant experience.Requires 2 years of relevant customer service, mechanical, and/or electrical experience.\n\nMaintain a valid driver's license\nA combination of education, training, and related experience may meet requirements.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nExcellent customer service and relationship-building skills.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new services.\nAbility to work effectively with minimal supervision by employing effective time management and prioritization skills.\nHighly effective verbal and written communication skills.\nValid driver’s license and good driving record.\nExperience with the Microsoft Office suite.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
