This role is a key contributor to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and reconciliations, while also serving as a technical resource and mentor to staff level accountants. A high performing Senior Accountant will have the opportunity to advance into an Accounting Manager role as the team continues to build depth and bench strength.\nGROWTH OPPORTUNITY\nThis role is intended for a high potential accounting professional. Within one to two years, a successful Senior Accountant will be positioned to advance into an Accounting Manager role as the team grows.\nCompensation: $85,000-$110,000\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.\nPrepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.\nPartner with FP&A and operational leaders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.\nSupport external audit requests, including preparation of schedules and documentation, and serve as a point of contact for auditors on assigned areas.\nReview and mentor staff accountant work product, providing technical guidance and feedback.\nIdentify and drive process improvements to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the close and reporting cycle.\nMaintain and strengthen internal controls across assigned accounting functions.\nResearch and document technical accounting positions as new transactions or standards arise.\nAssist with special projects and analysis as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.\nMinimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience. Prior public accounting experience, including audit, is strongly preferred.\nCPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
