Must-have Hands-on QA automation basics - you've written automated tests using Playwright or Selenium (through an internship, project, or coursework) and can show the code. Solid programming fundamentals - comfortable with JavaScript, Java, or Python. Hands-on with AI tools, especially Claude - you use AI daily to code, learn, and solve problems, and you use it with judgment (you check its output, not just paste it).
