The DC 3rd Class operates and maintains one or more systems which provide the facility with such services as heat, air-conditioning ( cool, humidify, dehumidify, filter, and circulate air), refrigeration, steam or high temperature water or electricity. Must have a Third Class License and an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI .\nSalary\n$53.02/ hr. -$59.89 (DOE) plus employer paid health benefits and pension!\nKey Responsibilities\nObserve and interpret readings on gauges, meters and charts which register various aspects of the system's operation\nAdjust controls to insure safe and efficient operation of the system and to meet demands for the service provided\nRecord in logs various aspects of the system's operation\nKeep the engines, machinery and equipment of the system in good working order\nMay direct and coordinate activities of other workers (not stationary engineers) in performing tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system or systems\nPerforms other related duties as assigned\nEssential Skills\nAdaptable and flexible in work situations\nPrioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner\nPRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies - Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nExperience in an industrial or commercial facilities maintenance environment\nDC 3rd Class License \nMUST have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI \nValid driver’s license compliant with the REAL ID Act\nPass a pre-employment drug screening and background check\nU.
