Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing belts, pulleys, wires, switches and clean equipment and perform preventative maintenance according to a checklist. This list is not all inclusive and the HVAC GMW’s primary responsibilities overall include performing general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs of equipment and machinery in various trades.\nSalary\n$22.49/ hr. plus $5.09 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!\nSee ALL the fantastic benefits you receive as an employee of EMI below!!\nKey Responsibilities\nInspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions\nRecord type and cost of maintenance or repair work \nClean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery\nRepair or replace defective equipment parts\nPerform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate\n Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists\nDismantle devices to access and remove defective parts\nOrder parts, supplies, and equipment\nAdjust functional parts of devices or control instruments\nOperate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts\nInspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirement- use rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments\nMaintain specialized HVAC equipment and machinery found in various commercial buildings \nPerform general cleaning of buildings or properties\nincluding debris removal\n Performs other related duties as assigned\nEssential Skills\n Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in HVAC in a commercial/industrial setting\napplicable building and safety code requirements\nmethods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment\n Use hand tools, measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices such as meters\n Adaptable and flexible in work situations\n Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner\n PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment\nIncluding proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)\nRequirements\n High school diploma or equivalent\n 2+ years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in a variety of building and/or utility trades\n Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience \n EPA Universal Refrigeration License\n Duty Phone\n Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one\n Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check\n Regular, dependable attendance \n U.
