Title : QA(Senior)Automation Engineer
Location : Remote/Hyderabad (Hybrid)
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks for web and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with Cypress or Playwright, along with solid understanding of testing best practices, CI/CD integration, and agile development processes. This role requires a proactive problemsolver who can ensure quality and reliability across complex applications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress or Playwright.
- Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understandrequirements and define test strategies.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Identify, report, and track defects; ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to test coverage andrelease readiness.
- Analyze test results, provide actionable insights, and ensure continuous improvement of testcoverage and efficiency.
- Contribute to performance, security, and compatibility testing initiatives when required.
Required Skills :
- Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks using Cypress or Playwright (mandatory).
- Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting and test development.
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Xray, etc.).
- Experience working with cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
- Nice to have : knowledge of performance testing (JMeter, k6) and security testing basics.
