This role is a great fit for someone with a strong technical interest in radio systems, communication theory, signal processing and the development of functionality in modern mobile networks.\nAbout the role\nIn this role, you will work with system development within 5G RAN, focusing on developing, analyzing and improving the performance of baseband-related functionality. The work may include areas such as radio resource management, scheduling, link adaptation, time-critical communication, antenna control and optimization of 5G network performance.\nYou will work closely with development, design and test teams and be involved throughout the development chain, from early ideas, analysis and specification to implementation, verification and deployment of new features.\nExamples of responsibilities:\nDesign and specification of algorithms within RAN/Baseband\nSystemization and requirements breakdown for new base station features\nAnalysis and optimization of 5G network performance\nWork related to radio resources, scheduling, link adaptation and antenna control\nSupport to design and test teams throughout the development process\nAnalysis of fault reports and technical issues on system level\nContribute to the development of new features from early concept to customer-facing product environments\nWe believe you have\nExperience from 5G RAN, Baseband or similar telecom systems\nGood understanding of 3GPP-based communication systems, such as 3G, 4G/LTE and 5G NR\nExperience from the lower layers of the protocol stack, such as L1/L2, PHY or MAC\nKnowledge within communication theory, signal processing or radio algorithms\nExperience from system work, algorithm design, technical analysis or performance optimization\nThe ability to understand complex technical problems and drive them forward\nGood English skills, both spoken and written\nIt is meritorious if you have\nPrevious experience from Ericsson, Combitech or another RAN/Baseband-related environment\nExperience with scheduling, link adaptation, RRM, MIMO, beamforming or antenna control\nExperience with Python, C, MATLAB or similar tools for analysis, simulation or performance evaluation\nA Master of Science or Ph.D. within Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Telecom, Communication Technology or a similar field\nExperience using AI tools in technical development work\nSwedish language skills\nWho you are\nWe believe that you are analytical, curious and technically driven.
