About the role:
Neufin is hiring a curious, driven individual to join us as an Associate Product Manager - starting as a 2 - 3 month internship (freshers) with a full-time offer for the right person.
India's power-hungry mid-market is stuck in the dark ages. At Neufin, we aren't just selling solar. We are building India's first tech-led energy retailer. We use our proprietary energy software, Lumen, to orchestrate supply from solar, wind, and batteries (BESS) to deliver a single promise: 24x7x365 Best-Priced Clean Energy.
This role is for someone who wants to get their hands dirty, move fast, and solve real problems in a space that matters. It will be a grind. If you're looking for a large team with clearly defined swim lanes, this isn't it. If you want to own things end-to-end from day one, read on.
Internship: Remote
Full-time Location: Bangalore
What you'll be doing:
You'll work across two of our core products: Lumen (our energy management platform) and Contracts (how we structure, price, and operationalise renewable energy agreements for C&I businesses).
- Work with engineering and design to ship features - bill digitisation, multi-site dashboards, contract monitoring, Scope 2 reporting. Understand what our customers need, write clear specs, and follow through to delivery.
- Help translate complex energy contract logic into usable product flows. Think through how a CFO or facility manager experiences a contract - from onboarding to monthly settlement - and make it smoother.
- Customer Feedback Loops: Talk to customers. Sit in on calls. Synthesise what you hear into things the team can act on.
- Data & Analytics: Dig into usage data, identify patterns, and flag things that matter. We have a large and growing dataset of electricity bills and metering data - there's a lot to find.
- Cross-functional Work: Work closely with our energy, sales, and engineering teams. At this stage, product sits at the centre of almost everything.
Qualifications:
- Currently in or recently completed a programme at a Tier I institution (IITs, IIMs, BITS, NIT-T, ISB, or equivalent).
- At least one prior product internship - we want to see that you've written a PRD, talked to users, or shipped something, even if small.
- Strong written communication. You'll be writing specs, summarising customer calls, and flagging issues clearly.
- Comfortable with ambiguity. Early-stage means the brief changes. You need to be okay with that.
- Genuine curiosity about energy. You don't need to know what a DISCOM is on day one - but you should find it interesting when you find out.
Interview Process:
Each candidate will have ~3 - 4 interview rounds:
1. A screening call to understand your background and why you want to work on this.
2. A short product case study (take-home).
3. A technical/product deep-dive.
4. A closing round with our founders.
We aim to complete the process and get back to you within a week.
