This position will be on 1st shift and is a part-time position.\nLocation: TN\nDepartment: Lab/QC\nReports To: Quality Manager\nJob Purpose:\nAs a Metrologist, you will be at the forefront of measurement, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of instruments and measurement systems that are indispensable across various industries. Whether it’s in manufacturing, research and development, or quality assurance, your expertise in the science of measurement will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. From conducting meticulous calibrations and developing measurement methodologies to complying with international standards and troubleshooting complex measurement issues, the tasks of a Metrologist are both diverse and challenging.\nKey Responsibilities:\nThe ideal candidate will ensure all products/materials meet quality requirements through quality control testing, sample compounding, and that all company resources are utilized efficiently.\nDevelop and calibrate measurement instruments and systems as needed\nManage all external Calibration Vendors\nPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of measurement equipment\nAnalyze measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency\nDevelop measurement procedures and protocols as needed\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements\nProvide technical support and training to other departments as needed\nDocument and report measurement and calibration results\nConduct research to improve measurement techniques and technologies\nCollaborate with team to resolve measurement challenges\nCertify equipment and processes according to national and international standards as needed\nCore Competencies:\nQuality in Everything We do\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nExperience with calibration and measurement systems\nFamiliarity with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025\nProficient in using measurement software and tools\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities\nDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy\nPrior experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment\nExperience with statistical analysis and data interpretation\nKnowledge of quality management systems\nStrong understanding of measurement principles and techniques\nExperience with instrumentation and calibration\nProficient in data analysis and interpretation\nStrong problem-solving abilities\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nKnowledge of metrology software and tools\nUnderstanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards\n Job Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma\nMinimum 2 years’ experience in environments that required types of weighing and/or measuring systems.\nExperience in the collection and storing of data in a presentable format when needed.\nHaving the ability to work independently or in a group while maintaining a commitment to
