The Production Supervisor is responsible for safe and efficient operations during the assigned shift. This person is responsible for supervising employees and ensuring they fulfill the mission and goals of Techmer PM.\nSchedule: 2-2-3 schedule with a standard rotation (no swing shift)\nSalary Range: $60,000 - $80,000\nSafety Management\nComplies with and enforces all company safety procedures and administers disciplinary actions when required.\nProvides safety training and orientation to new employees.\nIdentifies and cultivates opportunities to improve working area conditions and works with maintenance and engineering on the implementation of new ideas.\nReports, investigates, and documents all safety-related incidents and leads the team in the investigation of root causes and development of corrective actions.\nEnsures the team completes all safety and process training timely.\nPlanning and Scheduling\nUtilizes all resources to complete customer orders on time, driving on time deliveries (OTD) to 95%.\nCoordinates with scheduling and optimizes manpower efficiency through color sequencing, change over (C/O) reduction time and operator's compliance to manufacturing procedures.\nCoordinates with scheduling and maintenance to have corrective and preventive maintenance done on all the equipment on time.\nContinuous Improvement\nDrives, implements, and sustains 6S across the manufacturing area.\nAudits the production staff to ensure the process is within engineering parameters and works with the team to update SOP's when needed.\nActively engaged in working with staff, leads and process engineering to troubleshoot any non-conformance or quality issues by utilizing Lean and 6 Sigma tools to develop root cause and corrective actions.\nParticipates in Kaizen events to optimize processes, reduce and eliminate non-conformance and rework and reduce manufacturing costs.\nEnsures production is always in compliance with ISO 9001 procedures and participates in audits as needed.\nUtilizes cross-training and other methods to continually develop team skill sets in batching and extruding processes.\nMakes sure ERP transactions are error-free and on time.\nWorks with Manufacturing Manager to achieve annual manufacturing metrics.\nPerforms quarterly employee reviews to grade and develop workforce.\nAdministers the Absentee Control Program for staff.\nAdministers disciplinary actions when an employee violates any safety or process-related procedure.\nQualifications and Skills\nMinimum 2-3 years of prior manufacturing supervisory experience.\nExperience in using and following a Quality Management System in Manufacturing (QMS).\nComputer literate in MS Office and Microsoft D365 ERP system.\nExperience in applying Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma tools to resolve processing problems and optimize efficiencies.\nExpertise in deployment and driving of manufacturing metrics (KPI).\nExperience in compounding of polymers or related field.\nHigh degree of organizational skills to effectively handle all assigned responsibilities.\nTeam builder.\nExperience in implementing Good Manufacturing Practices across the production area.\nBilingual in Spanish (preferred) with excellent written and spoken communication skills.\nWhy Techmer PM?\nWe are Techmer PM - the world's foremost materials design firm, creating custom polymers that make up essential products.
