This role blends user experience research, wireframing, prototyping, responsive design, and front-end implementation. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong design thinking, iterative visual design skills, and the ability to translate wireframes into modern, maintainable UI components.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and design system components to support application functionality. \nConduct user needs research, gather feedback, and adjust UI/UX approaches accordingly. \nCreate and maintain style guides, pattern libraries, and reusable design artifacts. \nEnsure adherence to 508 accessibility requirements and FBI design standards. \nBuild responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or related web technologies. \nCollaborate with backend developers to align UI components with API capabilities. \nSupport usability testing, analyze test results, and provide design-driven recommendations. \nProvide cross-team design support for additional unit projects and modernization initiatives.\nThe position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $121,000 - $148,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.\nRequirements\n Active Top-Secret with SCI and CI Poly eligibility\nBachelor’s degree in IT Technology or related field or equivalent education and/or experience.\n5+ years of UI/UX and Frontend development experience, or similarly related experience.\nExperience in UI/UX design, prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.), and modern frontend development frameworks. \nStrong understanding of web accessibility, responsive design, and modern design systems. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and end users, gather feedback, present design concepts, and ensure alignment across teams. \nAbility to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nOverview\nAbout Technica:\nAt Technica Corporation, our goal is to provide exceptional professional services and innovative technology solutions that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.
