The Web Application Developer is responsible for designing, testing, and developing well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient, using best software development practices to meet user needs. This role involves recommending software upgrades for current and future systems, translating User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes, ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing, and documenting every aspect of the application, service, or environment as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, test, and develop well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient.\nUtilize best software development practices to meet user needs.\nRecommend software upgrades for current and future systems.\nTranslate User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes into functional web applications.\nEnsure software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing.\nDocument every aspect of the application, service, or environment for future reference and maintenance.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.\nWrite clean, well-documented, and scalable code.\nDebug and resolve technical issues to maintain the performance and security of web applications.\nStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the application remains current and competitive.\nThe position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite. Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $116,000 - $136,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Technica considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, location, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.\nRequirements\nActive Top-Secret with SCI and CI Poly eligibility\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent education and/or experience.\n8 years of proven experience in web application development.\nExperience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint.\nStrong knowledge of front-end and back-end web development technologies.\nProficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.\nExperience with UI/UX design principles and translating design wireframes into functional applications.\nStrong understanding of software development best practices.\nAbility to recommend and implement software upgrades.\nExperience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality.\nExcellent problem-solving and debugging skills.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nExperience with front-end frameworks such as React\nDesired\nFamiliarity with modern web development frameworks and libraries.\nExperience with version control systems such as Git.\nKnowledge of database management and integration.\nUnderstanding of web security best practices.\nAbility to document processes and code for future maintenance and upgrades.\nOverview\nAbout Technica:\nAt Technica Corporation, our goal is to provide exceptional professional services and innovative technology solutions that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.
