Will function as a hands-on engineer providing manufacturing/process engineering expertise for project design, commissioning, and start-up. Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering project execution and a strong working knowledge of manufacturing and process plant environments.\nRequires local travel to client site (mileage to/from office is reimbursed) for meetings, field inspections, and startup. Longer trips/overnight visits are required occasionally.\nResponsibilities\nProduce layout and manufacturing drawings following acceptable Engineering and Manufacturing Standards.\nProvide technical design support for Project Leader.\nSupervise and train designers and design teams as required.\nUnderstand project's scope, schedule, and budgetary restraints and work within them.\nParticipate in and lead internal & external design reviews including interrelationships of other disciplines.\nFollow established project controls procedures.\nPrepare formal project control forms, i.e., transmittals, drawing requests, etc.\nCommunicate directly with the client in all aspects of the project.\nWill be responsible for managing their own jobs.\nWill coordinate work with a designer for projects that include: process, machine upgrades, piping, utilities, etc. \nQualifications\nAbility to understand and create Process and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) drawings.\nCapable of designing Machine components, HVAC, Piping, Steam and Compressed Air handling and distribution. \nCapable of determining total design requirements for the purpose of estimating and managing projects including schedules and budgets, accurately tracks and records cost spent on various project tasks.\nUnderstand project scope, able to define scope changes with client. \nCapable of directing Designers, Cad Operators, Technicians, and other Engineers as required.
