The role involves leading process safety studies, ensuring compliance with international standards and client requirements, identifying and mitigating major accident hazards, and supporting safe design and operation of facilities during FEED, EPC, commissioning, and operational phases.\nKey Responsibilities Process Safety EngineeringLead and execute Process Safety Engineering activities for FEED, Detailed Design, EPC, and Brownfield projects.\nDevelop and review Process Safety deliverables including:Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) Reports\nFire and Gas Mapping Studies\nEscape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA)\nQuantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)\nSafety Case Studies\nBow-Tie Analysis\nConsequence Modeling\nALARP Demonstrations\nFacility Siting Studies\nProcess Safety Philosophies\n\nRisk Assessment & Safety StudiesFacilitate and lead:HAZID Workshops\nHAZOP Studies\nSIL Classification Workshops\nLOPA Assessments\nDesign Risk Reviews\nConstructability and Operational Risk Reviews\n\nIdentify process hazards and recommend risk reduction measures to ensure acceptable risk levels.\nDesign Safety ReviewReview engineering designs to ensure compliance with:ADNOC Standards\nInternational Codes and Standards\nAPI\nNFPA\nIEC\nISO\nCompany Engineering Procedures\n\nSupport the design and verification of:Firewater Systems\nGas Detection Systems\nFire Detection Systems\nEmergency Shutdown (ESD) Systems\nBlowdown and Depressurization Systems\n\nProcess Safety Management (PSM)Support the implementation and enhancement of Process Safety Management systems.\nParticipate in Management of Change (MOC) reviews.\nContribute to incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action recommendations.\nMonitor compliance with process safety requirements throughout project execution.\nCoordination & Stakeholder ManagementInterface with clients, licensors, regulatory authorities, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nProvide technical mentorship and guidance to junior process safety engineers.\nParticipate in project review meetings and client presentations.\nSite SupportSupport commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and operational troubleshooting activities.\nConduct site audits, safety inspections, and field verification exercises.\nAssist with operational risk assessments and facility modifications.\nQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.\nMaster's Degree in Process Safety Engineering is desirable.\nProfessional certifications such as TÜV Functional Safety Engineer, CFSE, NEBOSH, or similar are advantageous.\nExperienceMinimum 12-15 years of experience in Process Safety Engineering.\nProven experience in FEED and EPC projects within:Oil & Gas\nPetrochemical\nRefining\nLNG\nEnergy Transition Projects\n\nExperience with ADNOC projects and standards is highly preferred.\nTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of:Process Safety Engineering Principles\nRisk Assessment Methodologies\nFunctional Safety (IEC 61508 / IEC 61511)\nFire and Explosion Analysis\nProcess Safety Management Systems\n\nProficiency in process safety software such as:PHAST\nSAFETI\nFlaresim\nPIPENET\nFLARENET\nexSILentia\nSimilar industry-standard tools\n\nStrong knowledge of:API Standards\nNFPA Codes\nIEC Standards\nISO Standards\nADNOC Engineering Standards\n\nBehavioral CompetenciesExcellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nStrong leadership and facilitation skills.\nEffective stakeholder management and communication skills.\nAbility to lead multidisciplinary risk workshops.\nStrong report writing and technical presentation skills.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timely completion of process safety deliverables.\nSuccessful closure of HAZOP, SIL, and risk review actions.\nCompliance with project safety and regulatory requirements.\nEffective risk mitigation and reduction of safety-related design deviations.\nPositive client feedback and project audit outcomes.\nStarting Date: ASAP\nAbout you:\nWe love to hear from you and how you match with this position.
