storage technologies to help achieve the UK's net-zero ambitions.\nPosition Summary\nTechnip Energies is seeking an experienced Training & Competency Coordinator to develop, implement and manage the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Training and Competency Assurance Programme for the Net Zero Teesside project.\nThe successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all Operations, Maintenance and Technical personnel are fully trained, assessed and authorised to safely operate and maintain the Power Plant, Carbon Capture Plant and Compression Station before commissioning, start-up and operational handover.\nWorking closely with project teams, licensors, OEMs, vendors and operational stakeholders, the role will ensure workforce readiness and compliance with project, regulatory and company requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nTraining Programme Development\nDevelop and implement the overall Operations and Maintenance training strategy.\nEstablish and maintain training matrices aligned to project and operational requirements.\nDefine training requirements and competency standards for all operational roles.\nDevelop role-based training plans and learning pathways.\nIdentify mandatory, technical and compliance training requirements.\nEstablish systems and processes for training administration, reporting and record management.\nSupport workforce readiness and mobilisation planning. \nTraining Needs Analysis\nConduct training needs analyses across Operations and Maintenance disciplines.\nIdentify competency requirements for individual roles and job functions.\nDevelop skills matrices and competency profiles.\nAssess competency gaps and implement development plans to address deficiencies.\nSupport succession planning and workforce capability development. \nTraining Coordination & Delivery\nCoordinate training provided by OEMs, licensors and package vendors.\nSchedule and manage classroom, workshop and field-based training activities.\nEnsure training programmes cover Power Generation, Carbon Capture, Compression, Utilities and Balance of Plant systems.\nMonitor attendance, completion rates and overall training effectiveness.\nEnsure vendor contractual training obligations are delivered in full. \nCompetency Assurance\nDevelop and maintain the project Competency Assurance Framework.\nCoordinate written, practical and workplace competency assessments.\nMaintain competency records and personnel authorisation registers.\nSupport development of certification and authorisation processes.\nTrack qualification status and ensure compliance with competency requirements. \n\nCommissioning & Operational Readiness\nSupport plant commissioning and start-up activities.\nCoordinate training delivery throughout commissioning phases.\nEnsure personnel are trained and assessed prior to system handover.\nMaintain training readiness dashboards and progress reports.\nMonitor completion of mandatory and critical training requirements.\nSupport mobilisation of Operations and Maintenance personnel. \n\nCompliance & Governance\nEnsure completion and maintenance of mandatory compliance training.\nManage training records in support of audits and regulatory inspections.\nMonitor certification expiry dates and arrange refresher training.\nEnsure compliance with company standards, project requirements and regulatory obligations.\nMaintain document control and revision management for training materials. \n\nKey Qualifications & Experience\nEssential\nDegree, HND or equivalent qualification in:Engineering\nTechnical Education\nLearning & Development\nIndustrial Training\nOperations Management\nHuman Resources Development\n\nExtensive experience in training coordination, competency assurance, workforce development or learning and development within an industrial environment.\nExperience within Power Generation, Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Carbon Capture or other major process industries.\nDemonstrable experience supporting commissioning and start-up projects.\nExperience developing training matrices, competency frameworks and assessment programmes.\nWorking knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills. \n\nDesirable\nExperience working on large-scale EPC or energy infrastructure projects.\nKnowledge of competency assurance systems for operational readiness and plant start-up.\nFamiliarity with carbon capture and low-carbon energy technologies.\nPersonal Attributes\nExcellent planning, coordination
