This role involves field coordination, construction documentation, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory compliance while working closely with New Jersey Transit, contractors, engineers, and project management teams.\nAssist with field supervision and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.\nCoordinate with contractors, inspectors, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.\nReview contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, daily inspection reports, change orders, and construction work plans.\nMaintain project documentation and assist with schedule tracking, cost monitoring, change management, and progress reporting.\nSupport quality assurance activities, inspections, materials testing, and resolution of non-conformances.\nAssist with safety and environmental compliance, including applicable federal, state, and local regulations and permitting requirements.\nParticipate in project meetings, prepare reports and meeting minutes, and support coordination across project disciplines.\nAssist with punch-list resolution, as-built reviews, and project close-out activities.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or inspection, preferably on major infrastructure or transportation projects.\nKnowledge of construction methods, contract administration, project controls, quality assurance, and safety requirements.\nFamiliarity with construction documentation, environmental compliance, and applicable codes and regulations.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction management software, BIM, or CAD is a plus.\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work onsite and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.\nExperience with rail, tunnel, or federally funded transportation projects.\nFamiliarity with NJ Transit, Amtrak, and applicable construction requirements.\nRelevant safety, inspection, or construction certifications.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe anticipated compensation range for this position is between $70 - $100 per hour.
