The ideal candidates will inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety regulations, project drawings, and technical specifications. This role involves field inspections of bridges, utilities, structural systems, and other infrastructure, with tunnel construction experience considered a plus.\nInspection and Compliance:\nConduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project drawings & specifications.\nInspect construction of bridges, site utilities infrastructures (water, sewer, gas, electric, storm and sewer), structural systems to verify proper installation and functionality. Bridge construction experience and related certifications as a plus.\nPreferable, a tunnel construction experience, including inspections of TBM excavation, tunnel lining, shafts, drainage systems, and waterproofing layers. \nIdentify and document any deviations from approved plans and specifications and recommend corrective actions.\nQuality Assurance:\nMonitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and best.\nReview and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.\nPerform tests and inspections on materials and equipment to ensure they meet required.\nReporting and Documentation:\nPrepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective.\nMaintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other relevant documentation.\nCommunicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results and project.\nCoordination and Support:\nCollaborate with project teams to resolve construction issues and ensure timely project\nProvide technical support and guidance to contractors and construction personnel.\nParticipate in project meetings and provide input on construction methods, materials, and schedules.\nWHAT YOU'LL BRING\nMinimum of 1 year of relevant construction inspection experience.\nICC or NICET certifications are highly desirable.\nKnowledge of construction codes, standards, specifications, and applicable regulations.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical documents.\nStrong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.\nAbility to work independently and collaborate effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.\nFamiliarity with construction inspection tools, testing procedures, and reporting software.\nExperience working on construction projects in Maryland is preferred.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe anticipated compensation range for this position is between $30-$55/hr.
