The project includes marine construction, deep foundations, driven steel pipe piles, steel sheet pile bulkheads (seawalls), reinforced concrete structures, shoreline stabilization, waterfront improvements, and utility coordination.\nOversee daily construction activities, inspection staff, field operations, and project safety, schedule, budget, and contract compliance.\nOversee marine, structural, geotechnical, and heavy civil construction, including foundations, piling, concrete, shoreline improvements, and utilities.\nReview submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, pay applications, schedules, and field modifications while ensuring QA/QC, safety, and environmental compliance.\nPartner with the Owner, Engineer of Record, contractors, utilities, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and keep projects on track.\nPrepare project reports, meeting minutes, inspection records, progress photos, punch lists, prepare and stamp as-builts, and closeout documentation.\nPrimarily based in New York City with flexibility for evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional local travel.\nWHAT YOU'LL BRING\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required.\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.\n10+ years of Resident Engineering, Construction Management/Inspection, or Heavy Civil Construction experience, including 5+ years as a Resident or Deputy Resident Engineer.\nExperience with marine, waterfront, structural, geotechnical, and heavy civil construction, including foundations, piling, concrete structures, shoreline improvements, and utility relocations.\nProven ability to lead complex projects and coordinate with owners, engineers, contractors, utilities, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.\nKnowledge of public-sector contract administration, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, CPM scheduling, QA/QC, safety, and project documentation.\nExperience with NYCEDC, NYC Parks, NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, MTA, Port Authority, or similar agencies; familiarity with CM/GC, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, and Design-Bid-Build delivery.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe anticipated compensation range for this position is $80-$100/hr.
