We roll up our sleeves, jump in, and get things done. With 9 manufacturing facilities, 13+ distribution centers, and a team of 900+ employees across 20+ locations in North America, we’re growing fast - and we’re doing it with purpose.\nWe’re driven by ambition, fuelled by creativity, and committed to excellence. Most importantly, we take pride in offering a workplace that is collaborative, inclusive, and energized by great ideas.\n The Opportunity\nAs an Event Coordinator, you play a key role in bringing the Techo-Bloc brand to life through live experiences. You lead the planning and delivery of high-impact events that educate the hardscape community, showcase our products, and strengthen relationships with contractors, Techo-Bloc distributors, and partners across Canada and the United States.\nThis role is built for someone who owns their projects end-to-end: someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do, but instead brings ideas to the table, helps define strategy, and drives execution with precision and initiative. You'll take the lead on our internal road shows, loyalty events, and trade show presence, while building the kind of vendor and venue relationships that make flawless events possible.\nYou'll work closely with a high-performing team to ensure every event is organized, on time, on brand, and executed to a high standard. You'll travel primarily during Q1 and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver promotional and educational events that drive engagement, adoption, and growth.\nWhat You'll Be Responsible For\nYou'll own the planning and execution of events from start to finish, leading coordination across timelines, budgets, vendors, and on-site operations. This is not a support role. You'll be expected to take initiative, surface ideas, and bring structure to ambiguity.\nYou will:\nTake full ownership of the event projects assigned to you, from concept to post-event reporting\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with venues and vendors, the cornerstone of how we deliver exceptional events\nLead multiple events simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail\nContribute meaningfully to how our events are conceived and improved, not just executed\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the planning and execution of our internal events portfolio (road shows, loyalty events, and trade shows) and support the delivery of broader promotional and educational event strategies from start to finish\nProactively propose ideas, help define event strategies, and challenge the status quo to elevate the guest experience\nOwn vendor and venue relationships: negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements; manage BEOs, contracts, invoicing, and logistics end-to-end\nManage multiple event-related projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, timelines, deliverables, and expectations are clearly defined and tracked\nUse project management tools to plan, monitor, and communicate progress, timelines, and dependencies\nSource, evaluate, and select suppliers and service providers within approved budgets\nCollaborate closely with internal teams (campaign managers, content creators, social media managers, marketing automation experts, project coordinators, etc.) and external partners (freelancers and agencies)\nProactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and gaps, and act quickly to resolve them before they become problems\nImplement contingency plans as needed to mitigate risk\nOwn key administrative and coordination tasks, including stakeholder communications, payment schedules, BEOs, and travel bookings\nLead on-site operations for in-person events in Canada and the U.S.\nConduct post-event analysis and reporting, evaluating performance against key metrics and objectives\nA Day in the Life\nNo two days are ever the same, but your day might include:\nNegotiating a venue contract or reviewing a BEO to make sure every detail is locked in\nCoordinating materials and on-site needs with internal teams (graphics, merchandise, architectural teams)\nPitching a new idea to improve the attendee experience at an upcoming road show\nManaging multiple projects and priorities while staying organized and proactive\nSolving challenges in real time to ensure flawless execution\nIf you enjoy a fast pace, shifting priorities, and being the person who makes things happen and who helps shape how they happen, you'll feel right at home.\n Who Will Thrive in This Role\nThis role is a great fit for someone who:\nTakes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what to do: you spot gaps and fill them\nBrings ideas to the table and helps shape strategy, not just execute it\nEnjoys both planning and being on the ground during events\nBuilds strong, trust-based relationships with venues, vendors, and partners\nStays calm, organized, and professional under pressure\nTakes pride in execution, details, and follow-through\nIs energized by travel, variety, and hands-on work\nQualifications\nMinimum 2 years of experience in a similar role\nStrong availability to travel, primarily during Q1, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed during event periods\nValid passport and ability to travel to the U.S.\nValid driver's license\nAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and work extended hours during event setup and teardown\nProven experience managing vendor and venue relationships, including contract negotiation, BEOs, and logistics\nHands-on experience in event operations and logistics\nStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills\nExcellent customer service skills and professionalism when working with multiple stakeholders\nStrong organizational skills and structured work habits\nProficiency with project management tools (Teamwork, Asana, Monday, or similar)\nTech-savvy with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office\nExcellent French and English communication skills, written and verbal (due to frequent communication with employees in Quebec, Ontario, and the United States)\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment\n Growth & Development\nThis role offers strong exposure across Marketing and the business. As you grow, you'll have opportunities to take on larger events, increased ownership, and broader project leadership within the B2B Marketing team.\nWhy Join Techo-Bloc\nThis is a role with real ownership and real impact. You'll lead events that matter: events that strengthen relationships, support growth, and elevate the Techo-Bloc brand. If you're looking for a place where you can bring your ideas, travel, and grow with a team that moves fast and aims high, we'd love to meet you.\nPerks and Benefits:\nGroup insurance & RRSP with employer contribution\n24/7 telemedicine & Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\nInhouse leadership development and coaching\nTraining & Development Programs\nConsiderable referral bonuses\nDiscounts on Techo-Bloc’s products\nHealthy snack-filled kitchens\nTecho-Bloc branded swag\nFree parking\nEmployee Recognition Events\nWe thank all applicants for their interest, however only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.","description_format":"text","description_chars":7141,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"French","level":"Upper-Intermediate (B2)","optional":false},{"language":"English","level":"Upper-Intermediate (B2)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Canada","iso":"CA","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Garden & Outdoor Living","Construction"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-08T06:55:47Z"}],"liveness":{"score":7,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.263,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":45,"expected_fill_days":9,"reasons":["conf:8","velocity","win:tail","crowd:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-09-29T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/techo-bloc-event-coordinator","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/techo-bloc-event-coordinator.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-30T04:07:03Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":2746,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":2254,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-01T00:00:00Z"}}}
