Techo-Bloc designs and manufactures premium landscaping products - and we're looking for a detail-driven Maintenance Planner to keep our Waterloo, IN and Rock Island, IL facilities running at full speed. If you thrive on organization, problem-solving, and working cross-functionally with maintenance, production, and vendors, this is a role where your planning skills directly drive plant performance.
$35-$40/hour, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description:
What you'll do:
As a key link between maintenance, production, and outside vendors, you'll plan and prioritize the work that keeps our equipment running. Day to day, you'll:
- Build maintenance schedules and generate work orders across all shifts
- Own the preventive/corrective maintenance program and keep it optimized
- Track department performance through the ERP system and report on key metrics
- Manage vendor relationships - sourcing quotes, technical documentation, and pricing
- Forecast and manage parts inventory (MRP) so the team always has what it needs
- Estimate labor and parts costs, and adjust plans when equipment breaks down
- Prepare purchase requisitions/POs and support parts room operations
- Occasionally assist outside normal hours for urgent needs
What you bring:
- Experience in manufacturing maintenance planning
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Must be able to operate a forklift, man lift and other industrial equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, D365 and Microsoft AX (highly preferred)
- Purchasing and vendor management
- High level knowledge of electrical and mechanical parts
- Excellent planning and execution skills
- Be an excellent communicator
- Ability to work under pressure and with others for a common goal
