engineering environment.\nWhat You'll Do\nCollaborate with systems, software, and project engineers to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.\nParticipate in software requirements definition, decomposition, and design activities.\nAnalyze software and hardware interface requirements.\nDevelop, test, and maintain software applications for simulation and training systems.\nWrite software in C, C++, Fortran, and other programming languages as required.\nWork in Linux-based development environments.\nPerform software integration, implementation, verification, and acceptance testing.\nTroubleshoot software issues and identify effective solutions.\nSupport installation, acceptance testing, and deployment of systems at customer locations.\nWork closely with software, hardware, manufacturing, and program management teams throughout project execution.\nPrepare technical documentation, specifications, reports, source code, and test procedures.\nAssist in identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout project development.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.\nEquivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.\nStrong understanding of software engineering fundamentals.\nExperience or academic exposure to software design, development, debugging, and testing.\nFamiliarity with object-oriented programming principles and software development methodologies.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with C/C++ development.\nExposure to Python, C#, Fortran, Ada, or other programming languages.\nExperience using Linux and Windows operating systems.\nFamiliarity with source control systems such as Git or Subversion.\nUnderstanding of networking concepts and system integration.\nInternship, co-op, academic project, or professional experience involving simulation, modeling, or engineering software development.\nExperience with software development environments and tools.\nTechnical Environment\nCandidates with experience in any of the following will stand out:\nC/C++\nPython\nC#\nFortran\nAda\nLinux\nWindows\nGit\nSubversion\nSoftware testing and debugging\nSimulation systems\nSystem integration\nNetworking fundamentals\nTravel Requirements\nApproximately 25% travel.\nTravel throughout the United States with occasional international travel.\nOpportunities to support customer installations, acceptance testing, and training activities.\nTravel may range from several days to multiple weeks and may occasionally include weekends.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a valid passport may be required.\nWork Schedule\nStandard Monday through Friday schedule.\nFlexibility to support project deadlines and customer requirements
