This includes the design, configuration, SCADA integration, testing, commissioning, and client engagement. We look forward to learning more about you!\nPlease Review Key Responsibilities, Requirements & Additional Information Below:\nKey Responsibilities:\nProtection Engineering:\nDevelop and validate microprocessor relay settings and logic (SEL, GE Multilin, or equivalent). \nPerform short-circuit, coordination, and protection studies; generate TCC curves and select CT/VT ratios. \nCreate and review AC/DC schematics, one-lines, three-lines, wiring diagrams, and logic/I/O diagrams. \nAuthor test plans, energization procedures, and settings/version-control documentation. \nControls & SCADA Integration:\nConfigure RTAC/PLC logic and integrate SCADA/HMI points. \nCoordinate communication protocols for meters and networked devices. \nConduct bench testing and troubleshooting of control systems prior to deployment. \nCommissioning & Field Support:\nLead FAT/SAT, functional testing, checkout, and energization activities for substations and industrial facilities. \nPerform site work during outages, ensuring safe execution under NFPA 70E and company protocols. \nProvide emergency callout support, root-cause analysis, and on-site troubleshooting as needed. \nClient Engagement & Documentation:\nServe as the primary technical contact during project execution, offering clear guidance to clients, EPCs, and field crews. \nDeliver client training on protection philosophies, relay settings, and RTAC workflows. \nMaintain accurate project records, QA/QC documentation, and as-built markups. \nQuality, Safety, and Process Improvement:\nApply company standards and industry codes (NFPA 70E, IEEE, etc.) to ensure compliance and safety. \nContribute to the development of templates, processes, and tools that enhance project efficiency. \nParticipate in lessons-learned reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. \nContinuous Improvement & Mentorship:\nRecommend improvements to engineering templates, test plans, and documentation workflows to enhance safety, efficiency, and data quality. \nShare lessons learned during commissioning and field work in team meetings and QA/QC reviews. \nMentor junior engineers and technicians once proficient, supporting skill development and field readiness. \nAdditional Duties:\nPerform other related duties as assigned to support business needs. \nContinuously seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to team-wide learning and growth. \nRequirements (Education, Experience, Skills & Attributes):\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power emphasis preferred). \n3-10+ years of P&C engineering experience, including hands-on commissioning. \nProficiency in microprocessor relay settings, logic development, and coordination studies. \nFamiliarity with SCADA integration and communication protocols. \nAbility to interpret and produce schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. \nSKM or ETAP for system studies. \nAutoCAD for design drawings. \nMicrosoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation \nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. \nEffective communicator of technical concepts to clients and internal teams. \nLeadership presence in field environments \nEffective communicator of technical concepts to clients and internal teams. \nLeadership presence in field environments. \nMust meet company, client, and/or regulatory compliance requirements, which may include a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR), criminal background check, drug screening, or other screenings, depending on job duties or site access requirements. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nEffective communicator of technical concepts to clients and internal teams. \nLeadership presence in field environments. \nPhysical Requirements:\nThis job involves both indoor and outdoor work.
