This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain, or an analytical Sales role to develop their career within a fast-paced retail environment.\nWorking closely with Sales, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance teams, you'll play a key role in shaping demand forecasts, identifying trends, and providing valuable insights that help drive business performance and support strategic decision-making.\nWe're keen to hear from candidates who have strong analytical skills and a natural curiosity for data, whether their background is in Demand Planning or a Sales-focused role that involves forecasting, reporting, and close collaboration with Supply Chain teams. You'll be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, challenging assumptions, and understanding the commercial impact of key business decisions.\nWe work on a hybrid basis; this role will be working 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home\nKey responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain and review demand forecasts, using historical sales data, current trends and relevant commercial insights.\nAnalyse sales performance, demand patterns and forecast variances to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.\nWork collaboratively with Commercial teams to understand promotional activity, new product launches, customer requirements and changes in market demand.\nEngage with Supply Chain and Finance to support alignment between demand forecasts, stock availability and business objectives.\nChallenge forecast assumptions constructively, using data and commercial insight to influence stakeholder decisions.\nMonitor forecast accuracy and bias, identifying root causes of discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.\nUse Excel and relevant ERP or planning systems to maintain accurate data, produce reports and support forecasting activities.\nHighlight potential supply and demand risks, escalating issues where appropriate and supporting the development of solutions.\nContribute to regular planning reviews and cross-functional meetings, clearly communicating findings, risks and recommendations.\nIdentify opportunities to improve forecasting processes, reporting and the quality of planning data.\nEssential skills and experience\n1-3 years' experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain, or an analytical Sales role working closely with Supply Chain teams.\nStrong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nStrong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence decisions.\nGood commercial awareness and an understanding of the impact of demand, sales, and stock availability.\nHighly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving improvements.\nGood commercial acumen and an understanding of how demand, sales performance and stock availability affect business outcomes.\nStrong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines, as well as the confidence to suggest improvements.\nEqual Opportunities\nAt Vax we are committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
