This role will focus on the routine and major maintenance of 8 VASA 32 Wartsila diesel engines and generators and support the facilities maintenance teams with camp maintenance activities. Examples of camp maintenance include HVAC, Commercial Kitchen Equipment, Plumbing, and Facilities Maintenance activities\nManage work order backlogs for accuracy and details required to properly advance the work through the planning process\nScope all aspects of pre-job requirements, including parts, labor resources, permits, drawings, facilities, support equipment, special equipment and tooling, instructions\nCoordinate with Schedulers to develop and maintain a 13-week master schedule, focusing on equipment criticality and proper work identification\nMaintain a long-term forecast, focusing on key equipment, components and major work\nCommission and decommission equipment and their maintenance programs\nAssist with the development and maintenance of cost forecasting, budgeting and analysis\nWork consistently with the tradespeople, reliability group and operations employees to create detailed work packages, especially for routine work\nTrack and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of our processes and systems, bringing forth visibility and continuous improvement opportunities to the Maintenance Department\nSchedule the maintenance work orders and establish the general nature and timing of the job\nEnsure that costs are controlled and develop long-term maintenance programs by providing cost analysis and equipment performance. Continually monitoring the service life cycle process\nEnsure the accuracy of maintenance work orders and effective documentation through review and auditing of the criteria required for a planned MWO and the work approval process\nAdditionally, the planner/scheduler is responsible for the collection, tracking, and achievement of the Planning KPIs:\no Planning Backlog (hours)\no Trade Backlog (hours)\no Contractor Backlog (hours)\no Average age if Backlog by priority\no % Planned work returned to planning for rescoping\no Average time to plan a work order\no Planning accuracy (actual versus estimated hours)\nWork closely with and support the Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance General Supervisors in their function within the Maintenance organization\nSupport the Maintenance trades development, and mentorship of the NANA shareholders through the apprenticeship programs, ensuring that apprentices are exposed to a well-rounded workload\nSubstitute for other people in Maintenance leadership roles if requested\nProvide input into budget preparation and controlling costs by providing equipment repair schedules and forecasting service life attainment beyond the current year\nEstablish Personal Goals & Objectives annually that align with Supervisor, Departmental and Property Goals and Objectives. (These require Supervisor approval and will be evaluated regarding achievement during Building Strength with People coaching and mentoring review sessions)\nFully understand the commitment required to effectively perform at this position, to achieve departmental goals\nPerform other related duties as assigned\nQualifications\nJourneyperson Maintenance Person with ten (10) years Industrial Maintenance experience, or five (5) Years Maintenance Planning experience plus five (5) years Industrial Maintenance experience, or a Maintenance Engineer (B.Eng., Mechanical, Materials) minimum of three (3) years post grad in an industrial maintenance environment.
