The candidate will be practical, responsive, organized, and comfortable working closely with employees, building management, vendors, and internal departments to ensure the workplace operates safely and efficiently.\nThe role also provides reception and general Office Services coverage when required\nKey Responsibilities\nBe a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures\nCoordinate day-to-day building and office maintenance requirements, including identifying issues, following up on service requests, and liaising with building management, contractors, and service providers.\nConduct regular walkthroughs of the office to identify maintenance, safety, cleanliness, equipment, and workplace issues and ensure they are addressed promptly.\nMonitor the condition and functionality of common areas, meeting rooms, kitchens, workspaces, and office equipment.\nCoordinate preventative maintenance and repairs, advancing issues to the appropriate internal or external contact as required.\nOrder, receive, organize, and maintain office, kitchen, first aid, and other operational supplies.\nMonitor inventory levels and ensure essential supplies are available when needed.\nAssist with deliveries, moves, furniture arrangements, room setups, and other physical office requirements.\nProvide hands-on support for office projects, events, changes, and operational needs.\nQualifications\nPrevious experience in office services, facilities, building operations, workplace services, or a similar hands-on operational role.\nPractical, hands-on approach with a willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day office operations.\nComfortable spending a significant portion of the workday on their feet and moving throughout the workplace.\nStrong organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to lead multiple requests and priorities.\nComfortable dealing with building management, contractors, vendors, and employees.\nGood judgment and ability to identify issues and take appropriate action or escalate when necessary.\nStrong communication and social skills.\nReliable, flexible, and willing to step in wherever operational support is needed.\nAbility to occasionally handle and move office supplies, equipment, furniture, and deliveries as required.\nProficiency with standard office technology and Microsoft Office applications.\nExperience supporting workplace health and safety or ergonomics programs is an asset.\nFirst Aid certification or experience supporting workplace safety programs is an asset but not required \nPay Range: CAD $49,000 - $60,000 per year\nThe actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.\nWhy Teck\nAt Teck, your work matters-to the world, to our communities and to your future.\nAs a leading Canadian resource company, we focus on responsibly providing the metals essential for global development and the energy transition while caring for the people, communities and land that we love.
