The successful candidate will partner closely with hiring managers and HR to deliver timely hiring outcomes while maintaining strong candidate experience and alignment with Teck’s values.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage full-cycle recruitment for staff and unionized positions ensuring timely and effective placements.\nCollaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and create engaging job postings.\nSource and attract candidates through HRIS, social media, recruitment platforms, and campaigns.\nScreen applicants, coordinate interviews, and present qualified shortlists to hiring teams.\nFacilitate reference checks, pre-employment medicals, and onboarding in coordination with third-party providers.\nPrepare and deliver offer letters and maintain accurate candidate records in the HRIS.\nPartner with Corporate Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, and Centralized Recruiting for strategic alignment and co-op hiring.\nSupport inclusive hiring by working closely with local Indigenous communities and organizations to help connect candidates to job opportunities.\nEnsure recruitment activities comply with employment law, collective agreements, and Teck’s Code of Ethics.\nRepresent HVC at career fairs and events, support onboarding processes, and maintain recruitment tools and resources.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration (HR focus) or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience will be considered.\n2+ years’ of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably in industrial, mining, or high-volume environments\nProven ability to manage a high volume of requisitions while maintaining quality and timelines\nStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels\nExperience recruiting for a range of roles including operations, trades, technical, and professional positions\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands\nExperience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools (experience with Xref or similar platforms considered an asset)\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nCPHR designation or progress toward designation is considered an asset\nExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPay Range: CAD $85,000 - $105,000 per year\nThe actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.\nWorking Conditions:\nLocation: Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere.\nAccess: This is a drive-in/drive-out role.
