HVC produces both copper and molybdenum concentrate through autogenous and semi-autogenous grinding and flotation.\nLocated approximately 17 kilometers west of Logan Lake and about 50 kilometers southwest of Kamloops in British Columbia, the surrounding areas of HVC have an abundant offering of outdoor experiences.\nRole Overview\nThe Senior Geologist Supervisor provides senior technical leadership and project management oversight for geology-driven programs that support resource development, geological modeling, and Life-of-Asset (LOA) planning at Highland Valley Copper.\nThe role is accountable for the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling programs, as well as the integration of high-quality geological data into resource and geoscience models that underpin mine planning, production optimization, and long-term asset value, while ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard.\nKey Responsibilities\nBe a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures\nLead the safe planning and execution of diamond and RC drilling programs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards\nManage drilling programs end-to-end, including scope, scheduling, budgeting, and contractor oversight\nMonitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to deliver on time and within budget\nBalance competing priorities and resources across multiple concurrent projects\nProvide senior geological expertise in porphyry Cu-Mo systems, including interpretation of lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structure\nOversee the collection, validation, and interpretation of geological data to support resource models and planning\nEnsure geological models, datasets, and technical outputs meet industry best practices and internal standards\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and contractors, communicating project progress, risks, and outcomes effectively\nMentor and support geologists and technicians while driving continuous improvement in workflows, QA/QC, and data systems\nPromote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with environmental, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements\nQualifications\nAdvanced degree in Geology or related geoscience discipline preferred.\nMembership as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)\n15+ years of experience in operating mine or advanced project environments, with demonstrated success managing large diamond and RC drilling programs.\nAdvanced knowledge and demonstrated experience with porphyry Cu-Mo deposits.\nStrong understanding of geological modeling, resource development, and Life-of-Asset planning requirements.\nProven ability to manage complex projects, schedules, and budgets while maintaining safety and technical quality.\nProficiency with industry-standard geology and data management software (e.g., Leapfrog, Datamine, Vulcan, acQuire, or similar).\nStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.\nPay Range: CAD $138,000 - $170,000 per year\nThe actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.\nWorking Conditions:\nLocation: Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere.\nAccess: This is a drive-in/drive-out role.
