The consultant will serve as developer, facilitator, and subject matter expert for applications and services that support complex financial business processes on large cross-functional projects, ensuring robust and scalable solutions are delivered.\nThe role combines hands-on development with systems analysis. The consultant will document critical business processes, analyze financial systems and dependent processes for efficiency, assist with process redesign during an ongoing business transformation, and provide quality assurance oversight of new code from inception through production. Work hours fall between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with occasional Saturday or on-call rotation.\nJob duties include, but are not limited to:\nWork as a developer, facilitator, and subject matter expert for applications and services dealing with complex financial business processes on large cross-functional application projects\nProvide guidance and oversight to quality assurance on all new code from inception through integration, staging, and production environments\nIdentify, analyze, and resolve problems and issues using troubleshooting tools and techniques\nDocument critical business processes and analyze current business functions for effectiveness and efficiency opportunities\nAnalyze financial systems and dependent business processes and assist in re-engineering areas impacted by an ongoing business transformation\nConduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions\nDrive continuous improvement through design, roadmap definition, and standardization of processes and methodologies\nCollaborate with other developers and architects to establish development guidelines, methodologies, and documentation, and ensure software development standards are followed\nPartner with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are communicated, supported, and delivered to the highest standards\nDevelop and apply knowledge of trends, relevant software development technologies, and methodologies\nCompensation and Term\nThis opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $55 per hour or $114,400 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.\nQualifications you need\nA successful candidate has the following experience:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related technical field, or equivalent work experience\nMinimum of 7 years of experience as a lead developer or development manager\nMinimum of 5 years of broad experience with development technologies including Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle or similar relational databases\nStrong knowledge of relational database terminology and concepts, including SQL proficiency\nExperience developing and maintaining software systems that support complex financial business processes\nAbility to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions\nExperience providing quality assurance oversight and applying QA techniques and tools to new code\nAbility to lead and communicate effectively with development teams\nStrong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment and balance multiple demands independently and as part of a team\nAvailability to work between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with occasional Saturday or on-call rotation\nPreferred (not required)\nMicrosoft Visual Studio and .NET (C#) development experience\nExperience with ORMs including Entity Framework and NHibernate\nExperience on large cross-functional application projects during a business transformation\nPrior state government IT consulting experience\nWorking with us\nWorking with TECKpert means more options.
