This will involve record maintenance and management of performance reports.\nThe position will also be responsible for handling material order requirements for a designated group of vessels.\nSome of the things you’ll be doing\nTreat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority.\n\nApproval of vendors in the system ensuring vendor add process is followed and due diligence carried out on new suppliers.\n\nMaintenance and reporting of Vendor performance results, both to BU and suppliers.\n\nMonitor supplier performance and highlight concerns as appropriate.\n\nImplement supplier performance action plans in liaison with BUs.\n\nLiaise with HSEQ and BUs regarding supplier audit programs and follow-ups as required.\n\nMaintain supplier database integrity.\n\nReceive and process all vessel requests for consumables and spare parts.\n\nEnsure that all requisitions received from the vessel are handled and acted upon within 24 hours, special attention is to be given to urgent requisitions.\n\nObtain quotations from approved suppliers and place priced orders with overall most competitive sources, negotiate the best possible price, and obtain approval from the Vessel Manager as required.\n\nWhere applicable, utilize Teekay frame agreements as per the contract matrix.\n\nExpedite and follow up on orders with suppliers, ensuring that the stipulated delivery times are met and, if/when missed are addressed on time.\n\nCoordinate service and logistics of landed goods. Arrange shipments to/from the suppliers.\n\nEnsure all items are supplied to the vessel with the required certificates and documentation.\n\nIn cooperation with the Vessel Manager, decide on vessel supply ports and supply strategy to ensure supply in the most convenient and economical ports.\n\nProvide frequent updates on backorders to the vessel and Vessel Manager.\n\nMaintain and develop professional relationships with suppliers.\n\nMonitor supplier performance and provide feedback to the Procurement Manager.\n\nPlan and arrange shipments of spare parts to the vessel as required.\n\nUse contracted freight forwarder’s system for tracking and order consolidation.\n\nCheck the contracted freight forwarder’s system daily for any incoming orders, and update in purchasing system.\n\nProvide a delivery manifest to notify the vessel and the Vessel Manager of all orders that have been arranged for the upcoming port call.\n\nEnsure that all invoices are in agreement with the established terms and conditions.\n\nReview and resolve any arising disputes with suppliers concerning price/quality delivered before the invoice is paid.\n\nRegularly review commitment/invoice aging reports and take appropriate action.\n\nUpon request, participate in budget and quarter-end preparations.\n\nDuties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as required.\n\nWhat we are looking for\nBachelor's Degree holder\n\nPerformance measurement and control basics or equivalent experience desirable\n\nKnowledge of supplier measurement and performance processes\n\nVendor interface experience\n\nStrong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to work in a team-based environment.\n\nHigh-energy individual with tenacity, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to deliver.\n\nWhat you can expect in return\nAt Teekay, you will find an engaged workplace alongside 1,500 professionals across the globe.
