You will work with leading-edge technologies to deploy and manage thousands of servers and the infrastructure that delivers highly scalable and available services. The role involves cross-team collaboration and communication; you will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that product requirements are met. This is an opportunity to influence the design and implementation of systems at scales that many do not often get to work at.\n\nWhat you will be doing:\n\n Ensure service reliability and uptime in production and test environments\n\n Be on-call and provide 3rd-level troubleshooting support when required\n\n Monitor the uptime and performance of production systems\n\n Execute common system administration tasks such as applying patches, generating reports, and performing some database administration tasks\n\n Occasionally, help improve tools to reduce repetitive work and improve consistency\n\nWhat you must have:\n\n 3+ years’ experience in production operations, SRE, or a similar role\n\n Understanding of software systems concepts such as networking, firewalls, protocols, and databases\n\nExperience With:\n\n Linux Teams: Linux (CentOS preferred), Bash, Maven/Gradle\n\n Windows Teams: Windows, PowerShell, NuGet\n\n RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as MS SQL, Cassandra\n\n CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo\n\n Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Ansible or Puppet\n\n Containerization/Virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes\n\n Load balancing tools such as HA-Proxy, Nginx, or F5\n\nAdditional Assets:\n\n Experience with any of the following: Cassandra, Zookeeper, Hadoop, Kafka, MS SQL, or MongoDB\n\n Experience leading or mentoring others\n\n Understanding of software delivery practices such as feature toggling or no-downtime deployments\n\nSalary/Rate Range: $65,000 – $130,000 CAD\n\nThank you for your interest in this opportunity.
