Utilizes knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to help maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction. Performs online and/or classroom instruction, field-based skills training, and/or may provide technical assistance in a specialty area. Uses a variety of media to present course material. May assist in creating new and/or updating curriculum content, when necessary, to meet learner needs. Works with the Leadership team and ITSI customers to deliver training in and assist in development of TEEX Leadership courses.\nThis position reports to the Training Manager - ITSI Special Projects.\nQualifications of the Role\nHigh School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nFour years of experience in a key leadership role, including applicable experience instructing leadership training.\n\nOne year of adult education and/or training.\n\nDue to the location of course facilitation, applicants must reside in any of the following counties to be considered: Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Cameron, Duval, Hidalgo, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, and Willacy.\n\nMust have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.\n\nEquivalency: Will consider two years of related experience (Listed Above) with an Associate's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university OR no prior experience with a Bachelor's Degree in applicable field from an accredited college or university.\nAbout Us\nThe Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is an internationally recognized leader in emergency response training, workforce training, and technical assistance.
