This position also serves as a subject matter specialist in curriculum development, recruits adjunct instructors, and monitors instructor performance. Additionally, the Training Coordinator assists with special events and projects as assigned and supports other agencies, including TDEM and TIFMAS, during state emergencies as directed. The finalist for this position must reside in Texas Region 1(Map).\nThis position reports to the Regional Training Manager.\nQualifications of the Role\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nTwo years of related experience in project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services.\nMust have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.\nCertified NFPA 1041 Instructor 1 or equivalent.\nCompletion of ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 within 6 months of hire date.\nEquivalency: Will consider an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services or a High School Diploma/GED with six years of project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training for emergency/public safety services.\nAbout Us\nThe Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is an internationally recognized leader in emergency response training, workforce training, and technical assistance.
