Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news.\nWFAA Dallas is seeking a Programs Producer for the Community Impact Team.\nWFAA has a strong legacy of community engagement. This role works closely with the Director of Community Impact to execute community initiatives, partnerships, special projects, and high-quality content. The ideal candidate is a creative, goal-oriented self-starter with exceptional production skills who can collaborate across departments and work directly with clients, nonprofit partners, and community leaders.\nResponsibilities:\nLead production efforts for the Community Impact Team, creating high-quality content for broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms\nProduce live and pre-produced community content, broadcast specials, PSAs, branded/partner content, and Community Impact franchises\nOversee PSA production, inventory, placement, and post-campaign reporting\nManage productions from concept and pre-production through shooting, editing, graphics, finishing, and delivery\nDevelop on-air, digital, print, and other collateral supporting community partnerships, events, and initiatives\nExecute internal and external communications for Community Impact initiatives\nCollaborate across departments and serve as a key liaison on Community Impact projects\nManage station programming responsibilities, including listing services, children’s programming crawls, and program changes\nLead station tours and represent WFAA at community events, boards, and committees as needed\nRequirements:\n3-5 years of professional experience in broadcast television, video production, news, creative services, marketing, or a related field\nDemonstrated ability to produce high-end, broadcast-quality content from concept through final delivery\nAdvanced shooting and photography skills, including professional camera operation, composition, lighting, exposure, movement, and visual storytelling\nAdvanced editing and post-production skills for short- and long-form content across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms\nAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite, including motion graphics and graphic design\nStrong interviewing and storytelling skills with the ability to identify and capture compelling, authentic stories using reative judgment and ability to maintain high visual and technical standards while managing multiple productions and tight deadlines\nExcellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and project management skills\nAbility to work professionally with clients, nonprofit partners, community leaders, talent, and cross- department teams\nCreative, innovative self-starter who can independently lead projects, solve production challenges, and make timely decisions\nPassion for community storytelling and translating mission-driven work into engaging content\nHighly organized, technologically savvy, and adaptable to evolving production tools and workflows\nAbility to attend and produce content at community events, including some evenings and weekends\nKnowledge of FCC sponsorship and disclosure requirements\nMicrosoft Office experience required; WideOrbit experience preferred\nTravel: Rarely; less than 10%\nWork Environment: Primarily performed in a typical office environment with field production responsibilities.\nPhysical Demands: Medium work involving sitting, standing, walking, lifting, bending, and other activities associated with field and studio production.\nBenefits: \nTEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families.
