You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and serve as a key business partner to Tegria’s leadership, providing timely and accurate financial reporting and GAAP financial statements for global operations (US, Canada, Europe). You will apply technical accounting principles, including equity and stock compensation, purchase accounting, foreign currency transactions and translation, and accounting estimates, and play a significant role in integration planning and execution for acquired and merged businesses.\nTHE ROLE YOU PLAY\nAn effective Vice President, Controller will help the organization on a whole achieve success through:\nLiving our Tegria values: Respect Every Person, Act with Integrity, Strive for Better, Embrace Change, Deliver as a Team\nLeads the Accounting function, including international accounting operations.\nAssesses current accounting operations and implements improvements to systems and processes to enhance capability to perform accurate and timely accounting, produce accurate financial statements, prevent fraud and remain in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.\nDevelops, implements, disseminates, and ensures compliance with Accounting’s policies and procedures.\nBuilds and leads a highly functioning, competent team; delegates effectively and develops team members’ capabilities.\nAdministers and documents personnel actions including hiring, coaching, disciplining, pay changes, performance reviews and promotions in accordance with Tegria policies and procedures.\nEvaluates, establishes and maintains an adequate system of accounting records, including the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results.\nImplements and maintains a comprehensive set of controls and budget, including periodic internal and external audits.\nOversees the timely production of accurate financial statements and regulatory reporting.\nEnsures compliance with laws and regulations relevant to accounting, taxes, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance.\nSets, allocates and remains within the department’s annual budget.\nManages accounting and tax-related risks and provides guidance on mitigating strategies.\nLeads Accounting due diligence and integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions.\nDevelops and executes strategies for assessing and integrating accounting operations and systems post-acquisition or post-merger into the global accounting structure.\nModels Tegria’s values and holds team members accountable for demonstrating them.\nProvides management with information vital to their decision-making and assists executives in defining goals and strategic plans.\nDevelops and monitors accounting metrics (such as DSO, DPO, Leverage Ratio, etc.).\nComplies with financial policies and regulations and maintains financial data confidentiality.\nPerforms other generally related duties as assigned.\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nWe expect:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting required; Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field preferred\nCPA or CMA certification preferred\n15+ years of experience in corporate accounting/finance, including 7+ years in management roles with a position of similar scope and impact, and a record of sustained career progression\nExperience producing financial statements (balance sheet, statement of cash flow, statement of members’ equity, income statement and associated footnotes) for audited financials\nExperience overseeing accounting and payroll functions for companies with more than $500 million in revenue\nSolid experience with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management and risk management\nPrevious public accounting experience and accounting management experience at a public company preferred\nThorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and legislation, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and of accounting software\nExpert skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and NetSuite (or a comparable ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics or Sage)\nExpert business knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of the organization and its Accounting and Finance departments, plus broad knowledge of management principles\nAdvanced leadership skills to motivate, persuade, organize and grow support for company and department initiatives;
