Familiarity with AI tools is a plus; a willingness to learn and adapt is a must.\nAs part of our hiring process at Teifi Digital, any offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a background check.\nRole Overview\nAs a Business Analyst at Teifi Digital, you will collaborate with the Delivery team to implement Shopify Plus stores, apps, and integrations. Your responsibilities include facilitating discovery meetings, gathering business and functional requirements, and producing discovery outputs that guide project design and solutioning. You will act as a bridge between merchant strategy and technical execution, managing feature requests, investigating issues, and facilitating enhancements alongside cross-functional teams. Beyond configuring Shopify Plus storefronts and apps, you will play a key role in Quality Assurance (QA) by developing test suites, validating features against business requirements, and leading UAT to ensure reliable, high-quality deliverables. By translating merchant goals into detailed user stories, functional requirements, and data mappings, you enable developers and designers to build storefronts that drive revenue and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nShopify & eCommerce Platform Configuration\nConfigure and support Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts, including themes, settings, metafields, and structured data.\nTranslate merchant business requirements into Shopify-native and custom solutions\neCommerce Requirements & Discovery\nFacilitate and participate in discovery meetings with merchants to elicit, validate, and document business and technical requirements.\nWrite detailed user stories, functional requirements, and process diagrams to guide the Solution Architect and development team.\nDocument features, functional and non-functional requirements, and user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.\nSupport prioritization and backlog grooming, and help define what \"done\" looks like for each release.\nQuality Assurance & Testing\nWrite test suites and validate completed features and implementations against documented business and functional requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.\nLead functional, exploratory, and usability testing across storefronts, integrations, and customer journeys.\nCoordinate and support UAT with merchants; document and track issues in tools such as Linear or Jira.\nSystems & Commerce Integrations\nCollaborate with developers and partners to integrate Shopify with ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, payment gateways, tax, shipping, and other third-party platforms.\nSupport data mapping and validation for products, pricing, inventory, orders, and customers.\nBacklog & Documentation Management\nMaintain and prioritize eCommerce backlogs.\nProduce clear documentation, including user stories, process flows, system diagrams, and release notes.\nStakeholder Collaboration\nAct as a key liaison between merchants, developers, designers, and project managers to ensure alignment, clarity, and smooth delivery.\nCommunicate complex eCommerce concepts in a clear, merchant-friendly way.\nMerchant Enablement & Training\nCreate and deliver training materials and sessions for Shopify workflows, admin tools, and new features/apps.\nSupport merchants post-launch to ensure confidence and adoption.\nAgile Delivery Support\nParticipate in and support agile ceremonies,including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.\nQualifications\nWorking knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem (Shopify Plus, apps, app proxies, metafields, Flow, checkout extensibility) or similar eCommerce integration experience is a core requirement.\nProven experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, with a strong background in gathering requirements and documenting discovery sessions for eCommerce projects.\nUnderstanding of agile methodologies and SDLC.\nSolid understanding of eCommerce concepts, best practices, cart & checkout flows, and user/customer experience principles.\nFamiliarity with systems integration concepts: APIs, webhooks, data synchronization, and mapping data between systems.\nFamiliarity with integrating eCommerce platforms with ERP, CRM, payment providers, shipping, and tax solutions.\nExperience writing and conducting detailed test suites, QA and UAT\nExperience with issue tracking platforms like Linear or Jira and managing backlogs, and supporting sprint/release planning.\nExperience leading or facilitating stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions.\nSelf-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.\nStrong written communication and excellent technical writing skills, specifically with user stories and functional specifications.\nBenefits & Perks\nOngoing professional development through training programs, certifications, and peer mentorship\nHybrid work model depending on role, with a Granville Island office and free on-site parking\nFlexibility in work hours designed to accommodate appointments and personal responsibilities\nComprehensive health and dental coverage in Canada, plus a health spending account\nPaid office closure between Christmas and New Year’s\nRegular team culture events, stocked office snacks, and a dog friendly workplace\nPerformance based bonus opportunities for full-time employees\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and love diversity at our company!
