This role is both technical and strategic, requiring deep knowledge of Shopify configuration, data migration, and integrations-alongside project management and stakeholder leadership skills. The Solutions Analyst, Retail is the technical decision-maker responsible for directing implementation strategy, validating solutions, and owning successful project outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn end-to-end delivery of Shopify POS implementation projects, from planning through post-launch.\nLead cross-functional teams of developers, data specialists, and vendor partners.\nManage project scope, budget, risks, and timelines, reporting progress to leadership and stakeholders.\nOversee Shopify POS configuration, ensuring products, customers, orders, tax, payment, and multi-location setups align with requirements.\nDefine and lead data migration strategy, including mapping and QA.\nDirect integrations with ERP, CRM, inventory, and payment platforms, collaborating with internal developers and external vendors.\nReview and approve technical designs, test plans, and deployment strategies with a Systems Architect\nFacilitate discovery sessions with clients to validate requirements and align workflows.\nCommunicate project updates and risks to executives and retail leadership.\nDefine testing objectives for configuration, data, and integrations.\nEnsure all project documentation, SOPs, and handover materials are complete.\nOversee training plans to ensure successful adoption by store teams and admins.\nCollaborate closely with developers and product teams to translate customer requirements into technical specifications, feature requests, and implementation plans, ensuring custom solutions are delivered on time and meet merchant needs.\nQualifications\n2-3 years of project management experience in retail technology or SaaS implementation.\nMust have direct experience with Shopify POS, including configuration, workflows, and APIs.\nHands-on experience with data migration and integrations.\nFamiliarity with project management tools such as Notion, Linear, and collaboration tools like Slack and G Suite.\nExceptional stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills.\nAbility to translate between business requirements and technical execution.\nPreferred\nExperience in using visual workflow mapping and design tools like Figma, Visio, Lucidchart.\nPMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.\nExperience with ERP, CRM, and inventory management tools and integrations.\nBackground in multi-location retail or service-based industries.\nFamiliarity with API queries and data mapping.\nProficiency in using Python scripts to automate and expedite data transformation tasks\nAbility to leverage AI tools like Claude, Notion, and Gemini to query data, draft workflows, and develop technical solutions.\nBenefits & Perks\nOngoing professional development through training programs, certifications, and peer mentorship.\nHybrid work model depending on role, with a Granville Island office and free on-site parking.\nFlexibility in work hours designed to accommodate appointments and personal responsibilities.\nComprehensive health and dental coverage in Canada, plus a health spending account.\nPaid office closure between Christmas and New Year’s.\nRegular team culture events, stocked office snacks, and a dog friendly workplace.\nPerformance based bonus opportunities for full-time employees.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and love diversity at our company!
