We are seeking a Safety Engineer to join our Airworthiness team. As a Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting safety assessments, helping to define certification programmes, and ensuring that our products meet industry safety standards. You will work closely with the design and engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards, while ensuring full alignment with airworthiness processes and directives.\nWhat you'll own\nConduct safety assessments, identifying and mitigating hazards from early design through certification\n\nBe the primary point of contact between the Product Team and the Airworthiness Department\n\nPerform design reviews and schematic inspections for functional safety compliance\n\nDevelop safety requirements and specifications for new products and features\n\nEnsure Airworthiness Directives and mandated tools are applied consistently across the product lifecycle\n\nPrepare safety reports, documentation, and safety cases to regulatory standards\n\nJoin Agile/Scrum sprint planning to embed safety thinking from day one of each design cycle\n\nStay ahead of evolving UAS regulations and certification frameworks\n\nWho we're looking for\nBachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering (or related field).\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nClear communicator who can bridge technical and regulatory teams without losing nuance\n\nComfortable working both independently and inside a fast-moving multidisciplinary team\n\nFamiliarity with safety standards: DO-178, DO-254, ARP-4754, ARP-4761, ASTM F3309M-20, MIL-STD-882\n\nExperience with FTA, FMEA, or other safety analysis techniques\n\nKnowledge of UAS regulations: (EU) 2019/945, (EU) 2019/947, SORA, Special Conditions Light-UAS\n\nSystems engineering principles and lifecycle management\n\nExperience in an Agile/Scrum environment\n\nWe know this combination of skills is rare.
