As Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be one of the first engineers on the ground in Swindon and will be a driving force in shaping the processes, standards and ways of working that every aircraft built in the UK will depend on.\nYou will own the technical definition and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for the AR3, AR3 EVO and AR5 platforms, from raw material through to flight-ready aircraft. A significant early focus will be supporting the structured transfer of established build processes from TEKEVER's Portugal site into the Swindon facility through capturing, validating and translating existing knowledge into a controlled, UK-based production system.\nYou will spend the majority of your time on the shop floor. You will be the technical authority for your area working directly with operators and technicians, resolving production issues, leading improvement projects and driving the standard of everything your area produces. You will be the bridge between Product Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain.\nCore Responsibilities\nDesign assembly and integration sequencing for complex electro-mechanical builds.\nOwn mechanical, electrical and system integration steps in production.\nDefine and own functional and acceptance production test procedures.\nSpecify test equipment and fixtures for repeatable production testing.\nLead troubleshooting of integration and production test issues.\nManage non-conformances during assembly and integration through to disposition.\nMaintain configuration control throughout production.\nLead tech transfer of build and test sequences from Portugal to Swindon.\nTake builds from engineering-development state into repeatable production.\nWrite and own work instructions and test procedures for your area.\nTechnical Skillset\nAssembly process development for complex electro-mechanical products.\nMechanical and electrical system integration in production.\nFunctional and acceptance production testing.\nManufacturing Readiness and production ramp-up.\nDesign for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA).\nPFMEA, control plans and manufacturing risk assessment.\nConfiguration management in a regulated environment.\nCAD, ERP/MES and PLM systems.\nRequirements\nEssential\nTrack record of assembly process development for complex, multi-discipline products.\nDirect experience with mechanical and electrical system integration.\nExperience owning production test or acceptance test processes.\nNPI and industrialisation experience, from development into repeatable production.\nStrong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 or equivalent.\nEligible for UK SC clearance; BPSS eligible from day one.\nDesirable\nDirect UAS, avionics or defence-programme experience.\nComposite airframe assembly or electrical harness integration.\nExperience commissioning a new facility, cell or line from a standing start.\nSix Sigma Green Belt or above.\nRelevant engineering qualification, or equivalent demonstrated experience.\nWhat We Offer\nAn excellent work environment and an opportunity to make a difference.\n\nSalary commensurate with level of experience.\n\nCompany pension contribution matched up to 10%.\n\n25 days annual holiday + 8 Bank holidays.\n\nMedical Insurance.\n\nDental Insurance.\n\nSalary sacrifice initiatives (EV Scheme, Cycle 2 Work, Tech Scheme)\n\nDiscretionary annual company bonus.\n\nPre-Employment Requirements\nEmployment offers may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and reference verification, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nTEKEVER is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
