As a Systems Engineer, you will work at the digital core of the platform, collaborating closely with Systems Architects and the Airworthiness team to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance communication across all aircraft systems.\nThis is an opportunity to contribute to the design, integration, and certification of cutting-edge aerospace technology, helping deliver mission-critical capabilities in a highly innovative environment.\nWhat you will do\nDesign, define, and manage electrical, control, and communication systems across the AR5 platform.\n\nImplement, optimize, and maintain communication architectures using MAVLink, DroneCAN, IP networking, and serial communication protocols (RS232/422/485).\n\nEvaluate system architecture and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and integration across the UAS.\n\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define system interfaces, resolve integration challenges, and ensure technical alignment.\n\nSupport the definition, analysis, and traceability of system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.\n\nPartner with the Airworthiness team to ensure hardware and software solutions comply with aerospace certification and flight safety requirements.\n\nAct as the technical bridge between software development and hardware integration, maximizing the performance of onboard computing and sensor systems.\n\nProduce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and interface documentation.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n\n4+ years of experience in systems engineering, ideally within aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, or other safety-critical industries.\n\nStrong knowledge of communication protocols, including IP, CAN, and Serial.\n\nExperience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and/or Embedded Linux.\n\nStrong systems thinking with the ability to understand interactions between multiple hardware and software subsystems.\n\nExcellent communication skills and fluency in English.\n\nNice to have\nExperience with Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS/UAVs).\n\nKnowledge of aerospace development and certification standards such as DO-178C, ARP4754A, or equivalent.\n\nExperience developing embedded software in C/C++ and/or Python.\n\nFamiliarity with systems engineering methodologies and
