Tekion employs close to 3,000 people across North America, Asia and Europe.\nJob Summary\nThe Accounts Payable Senior Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, follow-ups, and reconciliations. This role requires hands-on experience in Oracle NetSuite - invoice processing experience, journal entry posting, and month-end close activities. The candidate will collaborate closely with the finance team to maintain the integrity of financial records, strengthen internal controls, and support overall financial operations.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Invoice Processing (Mandatory)\nReceive, review, and verify vendor invoices and check requests against purchase orders and supporting documentation - process the invoice based on the process defined in Oracle NetSuite & SOP.\n\nIdentify and resolve invoice discrepancies, mismatches, or missing documentation, etc - work with the business partners (internal & external) and resolve the invoices on hold timely.\n\nExposure to India Entity i.e, handling MSME invoices, and other regulatory requirements.\n\n2. Account Reconciliation (Mandatory)\nReconcile accounts payable transactions and sub-ledger balances on a regular basis.\n\nMonitor accounts to ensure payments are current and outstanding liabilities are accurately reported.\n\nAssist with vendor statement reconciliations and resolve aged open items promptly.\n\n3. Bank Reconciliation( Mandatory)\nPerform regular bank reconciliation statements (BRS) by matching system transactions against bank statements.\n\nIdentify and investigate unreconciled items, including timing differences, uncleared payments, and unapplied receipts.\n\nMaintain reconciliation records and ensure timely clearance of open items.\n\n4. AP Month-End Closing & GL Reconciliation (Mandatory)\nSupport and execute AP month-end close activities within defined timelines, including prepaid, accrual runs, cut-off reviews, and ledger clean-ups.\n\nPrepare and reconcile AP-related General Ledger accounts, ensuring sub-ledger and GL balances are in sync.\n\nCoordinate with the broader finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.\n\n5. Compliance & Controls (Mandatory)\nEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and delegation of authority (DOA) frameworks.\n\nAdhere to statutory requirements including TDS, TCS, GST, and MSME regulations as applicable.\n\nMaintain accurate and organized historical records for audit and compliance purposes.\n\nSupport the implementation and ongoing maintenance of internal controls across the AP function.\n\n6. Vendor Management\nHaving a knowledge in vendor onboarding process is an added advantage with Global exposure.\n\n7. Journal Entry Posting\nPrepare and post journal entries (JEs) in Oracle NetSuite related to accounts payable transactions, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.\n\nEnsure all journal entries are supported by appropriate documentation and approvals.\n\nMaintain proper classification of expenses across cost centres, departments, and GL accounts.\n\n8. Financial Reporting & Audit Support\nAssist with the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and audit schedules.\n\nProvide supporting documentation and responses to internal and external audit queries.\n\nGenerate and analyse accounts payable reports to support financial decision-making.\n\n9. Continuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement across invoice processing, vendor management, and reconciliation workflows.\n\nStay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and system enhancements in Oracle NetSuite.\n\nContribute to the documentation and maintenance of AP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nEducation\n\nBachelor’s degree/MBA/M.
