Summary Of How You Will Impact Tekmetric

Tekmetric is at an inflection point, scaling fast and entering its next phase of growth, and Strategic Finance is at the center of how we get there. The Sr. Manager, Strategic Finance will be a key thought partner to the executive team, owning the analytical layer behind our GTM motion, shaping long-range strategy, and driving the high-stakes decisions that define our next chapter. This role sits outside of FP&A and is built for someone who wants to operate at the intersection of finance, strategy, and business - translating rigorous analysis into clear narratives and real decisions. If you're energized by building something from scratch, working directly with senior leadership, and having your fingerprints on how a high-growth SaaS company scales, this is the role for you.

The ideal candidate is a builder and a strategic thinker, someone who can go from a blank page to an exec-ready model or narrative without heavy guidance, earns credibility with leaders across the business through sharp analysis and clear communication, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity is the norm and the playbook is still being written.

You will be responsible for:

Special Projects & Strategic Analysis

• Lead ad hoc strategic work including M&A screening, new market evaluation, pricing strategy, and new product launches
• Conduct competitive and market analysis to inform go-to-market and product strategy
• Evaluate strategic partnerships and commercial deal structures, assessing financial impact and trade-offs
• Support build vs. buy vs. partner decisions with rigorous financial and strategic frameworks
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring finance workflows using AI and modern FP&A tooling, reducing manual effort and improving data integrity 

Long-Range Planning and Strategic Modeling

• Build and own long-range financial models that forecast multi-year revenue across various investment scenarios
• Model strategic alternatives and simulate how key business decisions (pricing, partnerships, market entry, capacity investment) affect long-term outcomes

GTM Finance & Customer Economics

• Own the analytical layer behind the GTM motion (CAC, sales efficiency, and funnel conversion analytics)
• Build and maintain customer economics frameworks including LTV:CAC, retention, churn drivers, and cohort analysis
• Evaluate expansion economics across upsell and cross-sell motions
• Serve as the analytical thought partner to Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product leadership, translating data into actionable recommendations

Executive and Board Reporting

• Develop strategic materials for the Board of Directors and investors, translating complex operational data into clear narratives
• Prepare executive-level presentations, investment briefs, and strategic summaries that distill complex analysis into actionable insight
• Build and maintain reusable AI-assisted workflows for recurring deliverables

What You’ll Bring

Experience and Requirements:

• 5+ years in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, FP&A or comparable analytical roles.
•  Background in SaaS is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated strength in financial modeling, including building models from scratch, stress-testing assumptions, and communicating outputs clearly
• Experience working on special projects or cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders
• Has built at least one reusable prompt workflow for a recurring finance deliverable; can describe it and the time it saved
• Has connected AI tools to live data sources (e.g., CRM, financial databases) to automate recurring competitive or pipeline monitoring is a strong plus
• Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets; experience with SQL; familiarity with BI tools such as Looker or equivalent; comfort with AI tools and workflow automation

Skills:

• Exceptional financial modeling skills, including ARR and revenue modeling, pipeline and capacity planning, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, evolving environment
