Lead New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects within the facility primarily by planning, coordinating, and supervising engineers and staff. Work closely with operations and quality teams on NPI projects to ensure all project/customer requirements are met while accomplishing production goals. Responsible for meeting project deadlines. The pay range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000. Relocation is available to eligible candidates.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nOversees all product development activities, including all contract development and design for customers and any internal product development, design, and testing\nPrioritizes projects for the team and communicates recommendations and status through the organization\nSupports development projects through regular project meetings and technical reviews as needed.\nManage utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel across all development projects.\nAssign and supervise tasks; review results; seek improvement when necessary (accuracy, quality, timeliness, performance)\nCreate, monitor, and update appropriate metrics for presentation to senior leaders\nLead NPD and NPI projects by determining and meeting project milestones and deadlines in collaboration with project managers\nProvide technical support to improve safety, quality, productivity and financial performance\nMonitor and document project statuses\nDefine and create controlled documents\nCreate/refine manufacturing requirements and methods\nCoach, mentor, and train engineers, staff, and others to increase their manufacturing knowledge, use of Lean principles, and cGMP\nProvide input to company strategic planning\nLeads problem solving and RCA activities for development projects\nEvaluate equipment and automation to develop recommendations for process improvements in capability, productivity, and quality\nOther duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or related science field. Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering degrees along with advanced degrees (Masers or PhD) are a plus.\n5+ years of experience in a new product development environment\nExperience with material science in polymers and metals used in the medical industry\nExperience in managing an Engineering team\nProficiency with Computer Aided Design and Engineering tools\nProficiency with MS Office\nGood written and verbal communication\nAbility to follow direction and work in a team environment\nAbility to adapt to changes and manage multiple tasks\nExcellent analytical and critical thinking skills\nStrong work ethic\nSound understanding of pricing principles and experience with pricing models and systems\nDetail-oriented and organized; highest standards of accuracy and precision\nDemonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity\nAbility to plan, organize and implement tasks with successful and timely results\nTekniPlex provides a comprehensive and flexible benefits program that you can customize to fit your personal needs.
