As part of the Human Resources Team, you’ll help us attract, hire and retain the top talent we need to achieve our vision. You’ll play a vital role in defining, developing and maintaining our winning culture that empowers our employees the opportunity to stretch, grow, and succeed every day. We are seeking change leaders, talent strategists, employee advocates and culture architects to enable our teams, partners and business do our best and support our customers. The HR Manager is responsible for supporting the HR function across multiple manufacturing plants. This position carries out a balance of strategic and tactical responsibilities (like approving payroll) in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.\nThis key role involves close collaboration with Plant leadership and centralized HR services to elevate the manufacturing employee experience by delivering impactful HR solutions for both the hourly and salaried workforce and maintaining strong positive culture. You will help drive business success, oversee staffing, performance management, employee relations, (local contract negotiations) all while ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $145,000 annually. Pay is based on experience.\nReporting the Head of HR, this role will:\nBusiness Strategy:\nImplement monthly people metrics within the sites, proactively monitoring and collaborating with the Head of \nHR and Plant leadership to identify and address gaps.\nDevelops a deep understanding of plant operations to make informed decisions, provide valuable consulting to plant leadership, and offer strategic guidance on HR matters aligned with business objectives.\nFosters a productive and inclusive employee experience through proactive initiatives based on feedback and identified initiatives.\nBuilds strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Plant leadership, supervisors, and local employees to identify solutions that drive safety, sustainable cultural change and supporting business success.\nDrives local ownership of People Leader activities ensuring creation of development plans, leveraging skills matrix, providing recognition, coaching and mentoring and managing performance documentation and evaluations to support organizational goals\nFor Unionized Locations (Ridgefield):\nCollaborate with Plant Leadership and union representatives to ensure correct implementation and accurate interpretation of the contract terms, addressing inquiries, grievances, and other union-related issues for consistent application.\nLead the development of local collective bargaining agreements and associated negotiations with employee unions.\nHR Operations:\nLead the recruitment and selection process, ensuring quality and diversity of talent acquisition\nResponsible for new hire orientation and employee documentation control at the site\nSupports the administration of benefits programs that enhance the well-being and retention.\nManage the local payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee compensation \nComply with labor laws and regulations, and handle employment contracts, terminations and employee relations effectively.\nSupport the implementation of policies assisting with communication and local, state and federal compliance\nImplement performance management process that fosters employee growth and accountability \nConduct exit interviewsand monitor HR trends to implement retention best practices\nPartner with leaders to implement employee engagement and community initiatives that cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment\nOther duties and projects as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nA bachelors or master’s degree in human resources or related discipline with 5+ years human resources experience.\nUnion experience preferred.\nMust have strong interpersonal and communication skills.\nMust have experience with human resources information systems (HRIS).\nAbility to be responsive and persuasive at all levels of the organization.\nAbility to travel to other sites as needed.\nBe knowledgeable of general human resource concepts and legal requirements.\nAbility to exercise good judgment within defined practices and policies.\nDemonstrate a high level of confidentiality.\nTekniPlex provides a comprehensive and flexible benefits program that you can customize to fit your personal needs.
