The position is responsible for producing quality products in a timely manner while maximizing material utilization, minimizing scrap, and supporting overall production efficiency.\nShift Hours: 10:45pm - 7:00am\nMachine: L12\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nLoad and unload material on rewind machines by operating a hoist or motorized lifting device. \nCalculate correct number of yards needed for materials input and output.\nAbility to measure within 1/8” for selecting impression rolls to meet final required cut width. \nProperly flag document defective material as notification for the next process. \nMonitor viscosity of production liquids, calculate liquid amount needed to complete order, request more liquids from ink room if needed.\nProperly disposal of hazardous waste (training provided)\nPrepare quality samples and deliver to QA lab.\nCommunicate with QA and react to results by making adjust to the lamination process \nComplete daily reporting/paperwork: Job Reports, daily production, job ticket, Shop Logix. Comply with GDP\nVerify order numbers, tickets numbers, and materials from production order\nContinued inspection of the machine and product to ensure quality product\nConduct changeovers, including return raw materials, changing rubber rolls, cylinders, doctor blades, and knives; and breakdown and install raw material.\nTimely communication with departments, such as Machine Shop, Material Handlers, QA, and shift crew\nIdentify hazardous waste and dispose in correct hazardous waste containers. \nManage waste or waste containers in satellite areas.\nLabel containers with an indication of the hazard(s) of the contents.\nInspect satellite areas to ensure good condition of waste containers.\nMaintain a clean work area; following GMP \nAdhere to all safety regulations (including PPE standards)\nPerform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.\nThe Company maintains the right to revise and/or add duties in response to business requirements.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nPreferred 1-4 years of prior experience operating a Lamination machine\nPreferred experience in mechanical troubleshooting\nSelf-directed with minimal supervision\nAbility to work in a team environment\nAbility to critically think through mechanical errors\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:\nWalk and/or stand for the duration of their shift. \nRegularly lift from the floor to waist\nFrequently lift up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 75 lbs.\nFrequently carry, pull, or pull heavy materials up to 10 yards\nOccasionally climb, balance, kneel, squat\nFrequently bend, stoop, twist, and reach \nFrequently use hands to grasp, manipulate, and repetitively move\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to:\nFrequently hot conditions (non-climate-controlled facility)\nFrequently to exposed to dust, fumes, gases, and wetness \nOccasionally to cold conditions and wetness\nCleaning parts daily using solvents wearing appropriate PPE, including gloves, \nNoise level is loud, requiring ear protection.\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
