We are currently hiring for a 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:30am) teammate in our Maintenance Department, located in City Industry, CA. Pay range is $32 - $38 per hour, plus 10% shift differential.\n\nSUMMARY/PURPOSE\n\nEnsures operation of mechanical and basic electrical systems of extrusion process equipment and the facility related equipment through troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance. This is to be accomplished through the utilization of engineered drawings, operation manuals and OEM specifications.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nAnalyze equipment malfunctions and determine cause using mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills.\n\nPerform electrical troubleshooting of secondary plant distribution system (switch gear, breaker panels, wiring/busses, junction boxes, switches, outlets, etc.).\n\nFamiliarization with local, state and national building codes including the NEC.\n\nCalibrate and adjust plant instrumentation.\n\nPerform minor instrument repairs.\n\nFamiliarization with common preventative maintenance practices as well as the importance of record keeping accuracy associated with it.\n\nProcess work orders utilizing a computerized maintenance system.\n\nActive participation in a project lead role as required.\n\nPerform all duties of a Mechanic I.\n\nParticipates in plant safety / housekeeping audits to ensure a safe work environment.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE\n\nThis position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years maintenance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment or a combination or work experience and education.\nHighly recommended the candidate hold a certification / license in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding or general construction.\nMotor Controls a plus.\nElectrical experience a plus.\nAbility to make routine decisions and report / communicate malfunctions to management.\nDemonstrated ability to read and understand blue prints, wiring diagrams, etc.\n\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\n\nGood English communication skills, both verbal and written\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit and\nfrequently required to stand; walk; use hands & fingers; talk and hear.
