We aim to deliver better patient outcomes by manufacturing products that allow for less invasive procedures, reduced pain, faster healing, and safer drug delivery. We are currently hiring for an Operator I - 1st Shift teammate located in Ridgefield, NJ. The pay rate for this union position is $22.14.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAdhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with all safety requirements. \nFollow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other machine safety requirements when servicing or cleaning equipment. \nFollow all documented work instructions, standard operating procedures, and shop pack requirements. \nMonitor equipment operation in accordance with documented production requirements. \nAccurately record production data and operational information on production reports and shop pack documentation. \nAssemble and prepare packaging materials and labels and oversee the filling of finished goods to specified weights and quality standards. \nPerform routine in-process quality checks at designated intervals to ensure product quality and compliance. \nSafely disassemble, inspect, clean, reassemble, and prepare processing equipment for operation. \nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through proper housekeeping practices. \nEnsure proper labeling, collection, and handling of production and quality samples. \nMaintain safety, quality, and efficiency while minimizing scrap and maximizing equipment uptime. \nTroubleshoot and resolve basic production line and equipment issues as needed. \nReport safety, quality, equipment, or production concerns promptly to supervision or maintenance personnel. \nParticipate in shift handoffs and communicate production status, issues, and priorities effectively with team members and supervisors. \nWork effectively in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility in supporting different production areas as needed. \nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent and 2 years previous quality assurance experience or a combination of education and experience.\nAbility to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions in English, including safety procedures, cleaning requirements, special instructions, and production documentation. \nPerform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate production reporting. \nForklift experience a plus.\nAbility to input and retrieve information from computer software.\nStrong attention to details.\nAbility to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. \nAbility to stand for 8+ hour workday.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
