Summary of Position

The Operations & Transformation Director will be responsible for driving operational excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing processes, leading transformation initiatives, and ensuring high-quality service delivery while balancing cost, speed, compliance, and customer experience. The role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

***This is a hybrid role with the expectation of min 3 days a week at the Goleta, CA location.***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead, design and implement operational improvement and transformation initiatives aligned with business strategy.
• Optimize end-to-end operational processes across key functions (Operations, IT, Finance, HR, Customer Service).
• Drive service quality, efficiency, and scalability through KPI and SLA management.
• Monitor operational and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, and effectiveness.
• Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring clear scope, timelines, governance, and delivery.
• Implement and standardize project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure operational processes comply with legal, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.
• Gather business requirements, translate them into actionable solutions, and oversee implementation.
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively addressing scope of creep.
• Support senior leaders with data-driven insights, user research, and operational recommendations that enable timely decision-making and execution.
• Collaborate across the organization and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver shared outcomes.
• Work with urgency and diligence to advance transformation priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within committed timelines.
• Assess options in complex environments, evaluate risks and tradeoffs, and recommend practical paths for execution.
• Proactively identify and remove roadblocks, escalating issues as needed to maintain momentum and deliver intended outcomes.

Qualifications Expected for Position

• MS in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 10+ years of experience in business transformation, consulting, operations, and/or operational excellence roles, including experience working with health systems.
• Proven expertise in customer operations and product lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of operational excellence, process optimization, and change management.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional initiatives in complex environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $185,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
